Why is it, as SOON as a crisis happens gas prices immediately skyrocket, but never drop as quickly when supplies are supposedly high?

I see that alot here in Ottawa,

its because a HIKE has been announced, but not every single station has gotten the word yet....

some stations keep it low for an extra hour or so to boost sales....

Come to think about it, the attorney general won't do squat because of the circumstance and only difference of 25 cents. Those greedy fucks are trying to take advantage of Joe Schmoe.

Something people don't realize is this:

NO gas station can have gas prices sigficantly lower than the average of other stations within a certain radius.

So if the average price around you is $2.87, then you can't sell gas at $2.67

Why?

They want to prevent the WALMARTS of gas stations coming into a neighborhood, running everyone else out of business by lowering prices and then running a monopoly. I think it time that to rethink this legislation.

There is a place out here supposedly offering reg unleaded at $3.55 & super at $3.75.

Total price gouging.....I'd donate to someone's bail fund if they torched the place tonight. What fuckin greed.

(p.s. The place across the street was offering 2.75/2.85....maybe he's TRYING to get the place torched)
