<!--StartFragment -->30 Days Pay 'Wrist Slap' for Matt Damschroder who Retains $97k/year JobNot 'Illegal' in Ohio (Apparently) for Elections Officials to Take Pay-Offs from Voting Machine Companies
------------------------------------

<!--StartFragment -->If you haven't noticed already, the Franklin County, Ohio Elections Director, Matt Damschroder, who last week acknowledged accepting a $10,000 check from a lobbyist for Diebold, was given a slap on the wrist yesterday and docked 30 days pay from his yearly $97,240 salary.

He has also claimed that the Diebold lobbyist, Pasquale "Pat" Gallina, told him that he'd made $50,000 in donations to groups that support Ohio's Secretary of State (and, coincidentally, the Co-Chair of the Bush/Cheney Re-Elect Committee) J. Kenneth Blackwell.

All of this has come about amidst a lawsuit filed by voting machine company, ES&S in Ohio against Blackwell for giving the entire state to Diebold. This should be very interesting to watch. Depositions are upcoming.

In the meantime, while Franklin County's head of election, who seems to have accepted a $10,000 bribe gets off virtually scot-free, Sherole Eaton -- the courageous whistleblower from Hocking County, OH, who gave testimony in an affidavit of employees from voting machine company, Triad gaming the Ohio recount -- has been accused of absolutely nothing. Nonetheless, she is still fired from the Hocking County Board of Elections.

Ohio. Retaining its slim edge over Florida for now...as the filthiest fucking state in the union.

It isnt News to TRW unless it's on all the Major networks with documented proof and people admiting wrong doings and it's been through the supreme court.

He cant just read an article, and relate it to anything. To him it's just fluff about the 10k, its not related to the election unless a Republican is admiting it on Larry King.

COLUMBUS - The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors - known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

D2 & Jinn, where are your facts to support this claim (Everyone knows Ohio was stolen)?

Gosh Sam I'd really like to waste all afternoon showing the facts to you. But since you would just claim they aren't facts, why should I? If you think the election was on the up and up fine, far be it from me to try an dissuade people like you anymore. I have better things to do.

I thought so.:monsters-

Could someone point me to a major news org. (NY Times, CNN, NBC, CBS, LA Times, ABC) that has Kerry the winner of (or stolen from Kerry) Ohio in 2004. Unless you think the above media outlets are part of the Bush/Rove conspiracy.
