I don't know what idiot oddsmaker made that -9 line but when I saw that +350 Pacific moneyline, I was all over it. The correct line should have been Utah St. -3 or 4. I guess they wanted to scare some people with the mentality that "this line is too good".

It (the 9 point line) didnt start out anywhere near that high...I think it started at like 5, don't swear to it...But remmeber utah ST led by 8 very late so it could have ended much different if they missed a 3 and started fouling down 8...

it opened -6 which was a bad line to begin with - only made worse being bet up to 9

The angle that I saw on this game was that both teams pretty much blew out the weaker teams in their league(as they should) but the advantage goes to Pacific because they are a 10-1 road team. Although they were against weaker teams, it's still a 10-1 road record and Utah State/Pacific play in weak division anyways so to give the div leader 9 points was insane.

why the hell did that line move from 6 to 9 anyway? Who was still betting USU at -8? I had the +9 but got rid of it because I was so confused by the line movements.

There were some interesting stats going against Pacific here. They were like 1-30 at Utah St. coming into the game. Plus, Utah St. got whacked in OT earlier at Pacific, so revenge angle.

Still no reason for that line to be bet up to 9. Glad I cashed.

Pacific might have been 1-30 at Utah State but that was S/U. I don't care if Pacific was 0-100. I will take the division leader plus 9 pts against a division rival anywhere.

This wasn't even close to the most painful comeback of the day. Imagine being up by 10 and laying 2 with 28 seconds left and losing the game. Sure hurts more than being up by about the number and then seeing the team lose outright. Unless you had them on the ML of course.

I really fail to see how this line was so wrong:

Starting at the 5 minute mark, Utah State was leading by 7 or more almost the whole rest of the way.


At the 0:27 second mark, they were up 8 points.

Seems to me a line anywhere between 7-9 points was pretty spot on.
