coming off a bitter sweet day as I won them all except the big one on Zona.Thought they would show a lot better than they did but thats why they play the games!!.

I know Charlie Weiss is a heck of a coach but it will be very tough for these guys to get fully motivated to play a BYU team on this field after the classic we just saw with them and USC.For BYU it is a big game as they have picked up some steam and have won a few games in a row. big flat spot here for N.Dame and BYU will be a pesky bunch. I see a 10 point "W" for Notre Dame.

i have a system play on washington so i will change, but i guarantee that a few of us right now is thinking about what we are talking about, a let down.

Under Davie or Willingham I would agree with BYU. But Weis is neither of them. And, ND has lost 4 straight home games. They do have Tennessee after this, but BYU is a BAD team away from home, and ND may be looking to give a coach they really like a solid first home win.

Proph, not disagreeing, but will give you devil's advocate point of view. BYU humiliated ND in the opener last yr which the Irish will not forget. ND is also 0-2 at home this season, something they'll be reminded of all week. They were also dissed in the just-released BCS poll. If motivation were not a major factor here, ND is easily 3 TD's better than BYU. Sometimes playing psychologist is not as easy as it seems. Weiss just might be good enough to fire up his crew.

Read this in USA today so don't know if it was made up...but apparantly Weiss walked into the USC locker room after the game for well-wishes and the USC players hushed out of respect for the man. That's phenomenal

WTF are you talking about????? The score was 20-17, BYU....? It was a closely played defensive game that ND scored the last 14 points in the remaining 22 minutes, the last on a pick? Equal passing yards, horrible rushing yards for both? The score was about even, and the stats were indicative of how they BOTH underachieved. It was the first game of the season, we expect these things...

I DO agree with your Coach Weis assessment though. Look how he exorcised the Purdue demons by that wire-to-wire ass woopin'! I'm on the Irish this weekend as well, BYU won't know what hit 'em!

BZ, After watching Zona this past weekend against Stanford you could be right. That was one bad performance on there home field against a very average Stanford squad.Oregon is clicking on all cylinders right now and I just dont see Zona being able to score enough to keep up.

in no way am i tooting my own horn but this is the problem with gambling, you guys change from week to week who you like and who beats who.

last week all i heard about here was how arizona was going to pound stanford into the ground, 2 touchdowns, three touchdowns, my head was spinning with all the cum flying around for arizona.
now they lost to a stanford team who i think is much better than most think, and you guys have jumped of the trailer and onto the oregon band wagon.
now when/if arizona beats oregon you guys are really screwed and you might as well start flipping coins.


THIS is exactly why i use power ratings and systems, it keeps me honest and a true straight path. It's not flashy, and i look like an idiot on some easy games, but i win more than i lose.

When I capped this game, I had OR as a 14 point fav. They have the advantage on turnover margin, rushing offense, rushing defense, and passing offense. Additionally they have historically dominated AZ. I think they are a solid play this week.
