Libs now you have to admit. If Bush gave the go ahead for taking out an unarmed OBL,there would be howls from the left and some main stream media. Why he wasn't read his rights and arrested?

How come Obama chose not to bring him back for a trial?

Is it because they wouldn't have found OBL not guilty because of Bushes policys of waterboarding?

The media would be screaming at the top of their lungs for an OBL trial and probable not guilty verdict because of Bushes waterboarding policys.

I guess that's why Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize and Bush didn't.

I wouldn't say a word Pat. The last thing I would want to see is him stand trial. Whoever pulled that trigger did a fine job.

And why do you assume there was a presidential order not to bring him back alive?

3,000 american men, women, and children were unarmed when they were MURDERED on 9/11.....not to mention the 1000s who have died -- unarmed -- as a direct result of bin laden's orders and influence

a bullet in the eye was too good for that cocksucker, and ANYBODY who questions whether he deserved what he got is not worthy of debate

Because it dosen't make political sense to bring him back alive.Especially if chain of evidence goes back to someone being waterboarded.Which it does.Killing OBL closes the book.If it was Bush doing this it would be called a cover up and a war crime (by some) and of course given at least some credence by the media.Because they wouldn't have found OBL without Bushes policy of waterboarding.
In a nutshell Bush got the dirty legwork done and Obama gets the credit.Obama loves taking the credit for something he railed and howled against as canidate and even President Obama.Capturing and killing terroist on information derived from waterboarding.
Obama did the right thing wether Obama knows it or not because it was politically expediante not because he believed in what he was doing like Bush would have.

Obama already needs to be prosecuted for war-crimes in Libya.

If it's fair game for Bush, then it's fair game for Obama right?

Bush was prosecuted for war crimes? I need to buy a new history book. Mine seems woefully outdated.

I've yet to see any evidence that the prisoner that gave the info was tortured, and if he was tortured under Bush how come Bush didn't use this info? You're trying to give credit for something that hasn't been presented yet.

Pat, if I were Pres there would be a standing take no prisoners order when it came to Al Qaeda.

I think many are quick to assume it was a kill order. But wouldn't it have been more to our benefit for interrogation purposes if he was taken alive? Whether Obama gave the kill order or not, I think the bottom line is you had 24 soldiers coming in in the middle of the night, with very little time to identify and react. Plus if bin Laden resisted in any way, which I'm betting he did, it's not easy to simply capture somebody while looking at the business end of an AK-47. Especially if it's firing at you.

Do you really believe Bush deserves that much credit? I think his involvement in this is the eqivalent of the fans taking credit for a win by the team on the field.

Todays NY Times has an articel that says info was gleened from detainnes in secret CIA prisons.Try connecting the dots.

Bush went to Afghanistan to which the secret ops were launched.Bush opened Gitmo.Bush increased intelligance services that were gutted by the previous Clinton Admin..All of Bushes policies that he was mercilessly bashed for and had the balls to do unpopular policies, set the table for what Obama hemed and hawed (16 hours to make his decision) on Sunday afternoon.
