Did Obama break the law? The arrogance of using this "seal" is really something else.

18 USC Sec. 713 ...
(a) Whoever knowingly displays any printed or other likeness of the great seal of the United States, or of the seals of the President or the Vice President of the United States, or the seal of the United States Senate, or the seal of the United States House of Representatives, or the seal of the United States Congress, or any facsimile thereof, in, or in connection with, any advertisement, poster, circular, book, pamphlet, or other publication, public meeting, play, motion picture, telecast, or other production, or on any building, monument, or stationery, for the purpose of conveying, or in a manner reasonably calculated to convey, a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States or by any department, agency, or instrumentality thereof, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

The law is very plain here.

I'll sit back and watch the Libs twist and contort on this...

You see...laws aren't meant for Libs.

MJ ...

there is a word that is now a part of your every day exsistence on this
board:

DESPERATE

Not desperate at all.

Its the LAW. Change it if you don't like it...but until then...a Presidential candidate should be expected to abide.

What kind of example is this? :think2:

What the fuck does the Right knows about Laws??

The Boston Globe today has a report on President Bush's extraordinary power grab.
President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.
Among the laws Bush said he can ignore are military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigration services problems, ''whistle-blower" protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally funded research.

This is a prime example of whats wrong with this country. We sit here and debate seals,or flag burning,or gay rights, instead of tackling real, pressing issues that are vital to this countries future and prosperity.please talk about something that actually matters.

Following the law matters.

Go somewhere else if you don't like talking about that.

Wow...this Incredible Revelation clearly spells the end of the Obama campaign for Presidency.

And to think that years from now, historians will recall back to when a random internet poster at the RX SPORTS HANDICAPPING Forum broke the big story that assured John McCain would win the 2008 presidency in a landslide.

I'm feeling very proud right now to be an active member at the Rx even if no one in the year 2064 will know who the hell FoGHORN LEGHORN is.
