If the stumbling block has something to do with regulation, then maybe Obama can fix it, but if it's just incompetence then I'm not sure what he can do.

We have incompetence in office now. I think big business is holding back the net. They like it just as it is, poor service and high prices. What's going to help Obama is that he will appoint smart people to push his polices.

It's about time that someone looked at this. America has fallen behind most nations in installing high speed internet and also the speed of it. The US ranks around 16th in the world. Japan you can get 65-100 MBPs for around $35.00, in the US you get 1.5 for $35-50.

If you want to shrink the size of the US down to a little island...then you would have a point.

But you can't...and you don't.

Does'nt seem like Internet service would be on the top list of priorities unless just to get laughed at & I don't think he wants that...Small potatoes....I agree.

The way it works is no different than any technology. You can get better or faster internet, but you have to pay for it. Cable one charges $10 more per month for 6g speed or whatever. Same modem, same cable line in and out of the house. Get it?
