I dont think he is religious. And that is a good thing

A while ago he said something along the lines of: the problem with Bible is what parts to keep and what parts to disregard.

A religous person would not say that

To be more specific, a true Christian would never say that.

Nonsense.

I'm a lifelong Christian and have a very active spiritual life and have no problem acknowledging the Holy Bible is both a useful text and a collection of mythical allegories.

I most certainly would not keep respect many of the edicts proclaimed in various parts of the Old Testament.

And though I still on occasion enjoy a psychedelic trip, I've never found the Book of Revelations to be good for much more than a mental mind twist.

Illustrative hypothetical Q&A....

Q: Governor Palin, there were rumors out there that your daughter Bristol is really the mother of Trig. Do you think the Obama campaign was behind spreading these rumors?

A: No, no, no the Obama campaign has not talked about my daughter giving birth to Trig, but the liberal blogs...."

By the logic of this thread, that would be a confession that Bristol gave birth to Trig.

More gotcha politics. Seriously, I don't think he gives a shit about any religion.
If he did, Rev Wright could never be his spiritual adviser and he could never be a proponent of infanticide.

Some true Christians realize that some parts of the Bible were left out for political reasons. The decision on which books to be included and which books to be excluded were made my political people long after Christ was gone.
