The DC Metro a few blocks away from the White House had a sign... 36% of all Tax filers either paid nothing in taxes or got money. Then you factor in the people that didn't even file, and over 50% of this country doesn't pay ANYTHING in taxes.

Richest 1% pay 60%
bottom 50% pay nothing or get money back.

- John Mccain wants to lower taxes for everybody. The people who already pay nothing would still pay slightly lower taxes.
- Barrack Hussein Obama wants to lower taxes for some, but make others pay more. This is deceptive at best, dishonest at worst.

Obama says the richest 1% who already pay 60% of the bill " aren't paying their fair share", while the people who already pay nothing should pay less. In effect the bottom 50% wouldn't be paying less taxes, they would be getting a subsidy.

Even with all that being said, some of the Obama tax cuts for "poor people" are 1,000 bucks and less. The socialst is buying votes for 1,000 bucks at a time with tax payers money. He vows to increase the size and scope of government and now is the exact WORST time to have protectionist, socialist, and marxist policies.

A recession is good for the long term healty of the economy. It means the economy is working. It is a natural growth/decay cycle. Americans took on too much debt and had malinvestment. We will cut back, retool, and allocate capital towards more productive means.

Obama trying to double cap gains and divy taxes is a HORRIBLE idea. I could live with a democrat president like Clinton who lowered taxes, but the socialists like FDR, Peanut farmer Carter, and Obama are not only anti-capitalist, they are anti-american and very bad for the economy. The last thing we need is another lying Lawyer running this country.

LOL. If Obama was president the last 4 years and was running for re-election this year, is there a chance in hell that you would make the above statements?

100% spot on.

If Obama does win, I may have to move. The only problem will be where to...another socialist country?

Maybe I would start my own country.

In my country, if you make a bad investment like a CDO or whatever, you live with the consequences. You are responsible for your choices and actions in my country. There are no socialistic bailouts here.

In my county, if you work hard and make a lot of money, you keep it. If you sit around on your couch and watch TV, no one gives you a hand out. Eventually, you will get off your ass and work hard so you can enjoy the good life or you will have to sell your couch and TV for bread.

In my country, the elected gov't will not run healthcare or bail out shitty companies. They will provide for the national defense, build some roads and bridges and that's about it.

- So should the government bail out the people that lied on their mortgage docs? Should tax payers pay for their stupidity?
- Should the government bail out the lenders that gave homes to anybody with a pulse?
- Should the government bail out the Ivy league Wallstreet boys who bought trash paper CDO's?

Recessions are natural... they are GOOD. It clears out the crap, and we are able to reallocate capital. Do you think it is a good thing that once cars were mass produced that the horse and buggy industry went out of business? People lost their jobs... but it was good for the long term health of the economy. Some of those carriage makers turned into car makers after training/investment/etc.

In America in the 80's we had tons of new businesses and jobs created, and tons of jobs dissapear and businesses go under...

The Soviet Union didn't have that. The central planners kept open all sorts of inefficent jobs/businesses... Unproductive workers weren't laid off or fired... It would be like keeping the Horse and carriage business open and not firing people after cars came... those people could be so much more productive elsewhere, but they weren't able to be.

Recessions are good and healthy for the long term economy.

Gault's Glutch baby! You of all people should know what that means.

The thing is this country is full of debters. The politicans have to cater to a population in debt because most amerians are up to their neck in debt. The population spends more money than they earn, and they live out of their means. The government spends money like crazy ( both parties), and you can write off debt and get tax credits for debt... but savings are taxed at the highest income rates.

People that work hard, invest in their education, save, invest, live below their means are a dying breed. It is not long before they raise our taxes, and make us pay for the people who "bet" on housing, and bought their cars, dinners, vacations, private college, clothes they couldn't afford. Obama wants you to " pay your fair share".

C-Gold I agree with a lot of what you are saying but you always look like weak when you have to accentuate a decent argument with "Hussein"...

it is just stupid. it is what the left does when they harp on Palin and her daughter and her husband and shit that really does not matter in the grand scheme of things.

just stick to your argument instead of throwing in worthless scare tactic propaganda... it makes you look weak except to the other weak idiots who also buy into it.

When Obama first started running, his backers called anybody who called him "hussein" racist. You are racist for calling him his name? It is a "scare" tactic? Scared of what? That his father was a muslim from Kenya? Should we call him Brian JOHN Obama or something?

McBush'ss taxes = The same you pay now, or less
Barrack Stalin's taxes = A little big less for some people, much more for others.
