The hook is awfull tempting for most not to take in this division rivalry game but if you look a little deeper in this matchup you may think otherwise.

On the injury front the Raiders will be missing 2 offensive lineman, which will put a damper on their usual rotation on the offensive line. They also will be without their starting safety and a couple on the defensive line and that will spell trouble on a short week. Likewise, the Chiefs will be returning a few key players who have been out which will give them a boost with their depth.

The cold weather will affect the Raiders and Carr who has been horrible in games with a temp below 40 degrees. In the last matchup the Chiefs dominated on the ground in their blowout win at the Colusium and things shouldn't be any different tonight.

My projected line is right about at the current line of 3 to -3 1/2 but with the weather, short week on the road, injuries and other tangibles the Chiefs are the play tonight.

CHIEFS -3 1/2, -110

Good luck!

I just wonder why it is a short week for the Raiders.....is it because they played at 4:00 last Sunday and the Chiefs played at 1:00 ? Wouldn't that make it a shorter week for the Chiefs ?......I'm not trying to be smart, I just wonder why ?

Oakland has to travel 1000 miles on a short week, Thursday game, it matters.
Have you ever been with 70 people plus equipment and traveled like that? I costs them about a full day of preparation and rest, all told.

Yeah, your obviously trying to be a smart ass and if your not, you probably shouldn't be betting lol. A short week for a team that is traveling and missing their starting safety, who is their second leading tackler, 2 defensive tackles and 2 on the offensive line. "Short week on the road".

FWIW Carr has a 15 QBR and is winless with the temp below 40.

I would be suprised if the Raiders keep this game within double digits tonight.

Well done.
You seem to usually go by your "projected line" but do not usually look at injuries, weather, motivation, I think.
Tonight you included the significant Raider injury factor and the cold weather... (Sunday Houston, Rams, Miami, warm weather teams, all lost ATS in cold weather games)

Thanks. Yeah, I looked at my projection and other factors this game. I guess I better take more into account other factors.

Yes this time of the year: injuries, weather, and motivation really matter. Both were motivated but injuries and weather favored KC a LOT in this game.
