Is Osi Uminyora worth a first round draft pick? I say yes. What kind of talent will you get next year out of the draft that can compare with Osi? He is a disruptive player on the Defensive side of the ball and wreaks havoc in the backfield. He has for the most part not been prone to major injury and is a difference maker. He forces teams to plan for him and keep extra RB's in the backfield to chip on him for help on QB protection. He is always in the back of the QB's mind. You have to shift protection on the line as well in turn freeing up a LB for pressure. I think to land Osi it is well worth a first round pick. What am I missing that teams aren't biting on him? Cap space is all I can see.

Terrible against the run..Missed a whole season to injury..constant complainer...30 years old...his pass rushing is solid but thats with Justin Tuck on the other end creating great opportunities for him..

having said all that i would want him back as a Giant but he is not worth a 1...especially from a team who is likely to pick in the top 15 next year...

This was my thinking too. Giants have a crew of good defensive players that allow other guys to shine. I don't think they drop of if he doesn't play.

Boss's yards per catch were with the top TE's (15.2) and his 1st down percentage was very good as well (62%). After Boss is a drop off. This is a bad loss for NY, imo. Expect more check down passes to Bradshaw...and yes more fumbles.

I'll agree to the point that Boss is not elite but he is no scrub and yes it will have an impact on the Gmen. Having Boss there was a familiararity for Eli. With that now gone along with all the other distractions on that team now, look for them to struggle. Who can you plug in now without Boss and call them better, please tell me.

I think the Boss loss is a biggie, and as far as Osi I would maybe, kinda sorta consider him a first rd pick worthy player but its tough because of his age. But the Bills would love to have him :) Couple him with Kyle Williams and Marcel Darrius and whoa momma. Just sayin.

I wouldnt give up more than 2-3 for Osi. Remember that its not only about the pick. Any team that signs him is going to have to pay him , im guessing at least an 18-21 mil. signing bonus. Not worth imo.

Can someone make an attempt to explain to me what kind of sick, voodoo, black cloud, kaibash, hex, sorcerers bullshit is happening to my Giants with all the fuc*in preseason injuries??

How can a team have 4 devestating injuries at the SAME POSITION in pre season?? We have already lost 4 players for the season (Thomas, Whitherspoon, Johnson, Austin) and might as well count Prince in that as well since he didnt even practice and knows less then zero about the Defense..Plus who really knows how serious OSI injury is..

This is some black majic bullshi*....Every year its something...What the hell did we do to the football gods???

Tom Coughlin signed a contract extension. He's jinxed, plain and simple. What happened in 2006 when it looked like the Giants weren't going to make the playoffs and he was going to get canned? They squeeked into the playoffs and he got a one year extension that turned into a Superbowl victory. What happened after the Gmen won the superbowl? They signed him four years and they didn't make the playoffs but once since then. For what ever reason (karmic-wise) the Giants are better when Coughlin's job is in question.
