Numbers 03.27.05 Picks

[Numbers]

My picks are 1) Wisconsin +10, and 2) Kentucky -1. This time of year I will take 10 points with a good defenseive team - as is Wisconsin.

Kentucky and Lousivlle, in my view, are playing the best ball from the remaining teams in the tourney. Both MSU and Kentucky are deep in talent - but I saw what coaching can do (Kentucky shut down the big man from Utah with their 3-centers). MSU beat a solid Duke team; I feel, however, Duke played over its head to get as far as it did.

Late money is coming in on Wisconsin and MSU.

I thought Wisconsin was going to win this game halfway thru the second half. N. Carolina played a solid game but Wisconsin didn't budge an inch. I believe N. Carolina will continue to be favored by too many points in the next 1 or 2 games it plays. Solid cover for Wisconsin.

I see N. Carolina as a -6.5 favorite regardless of whether Kentucky or MSU wins the nightcap. I believe it may start as a -5.5, but moves to -6.5.

Kentucky gave it a good run. They were extremely lucky to take it into the first OT; executed terrible the game out at the end of the 1st OT; played to a better team in the second OT. Great game to watch.
