If you people remember, I explicitly told all of you that Everett Golson would NOT be a member of the Notre Dame football team in 2015. Well, the turnover prone QB announced today that he is leaving the Notre Dame football program effective immediately. Malik Zaire is now the Irish QB.

Has anyone seen that big mouth loomis? I am sure he is way too big of a coward to even comment on this. After all, he was the one who said that I did not know what I was talking about, just like GoSooner said that I did not know what I was talking about when I told him and everyone else that no Chicken 10 team would make the playoffs last year. Loomis, get your tail in here and take your medicine. Once again I am proven correct and another wanna-be know-it-all bites the dust.

Anyone heard where Golson might be headed. Just guessing but Texas, LSU and maybe even South Carolina might be a landing spot. Where ever he goes, he will need a good quarterback coach. The guy is a turnover machine.

Last year he had 14 interceptions, 8 fumbles and 4 pick-sixes. More turnovers than 85 FBS teams.

I think LSU would be a good fit. Cam Cameron could really help Golson , and an improved Golson could help LSU.

I do not know if you can teach QB's how to hold on to the ball. Picks will happen but 8 fumbles tells me that this kid has weak arms and hands when he gets hit.

LSU? How about Florida? Damn, there is NO QB down there!

I'm not sure Nuss could improve him as well as Cam could , but yeah , Florida needs an experienced qb.

Going against some thoughts here but I don't see Golson any where near Gainesville. New coach trying to earn the trust of his players and someone who is good with quarterbacks....ain't going to happen. Mac will coach up the QBs in camp and recruit for the future. What damn good coaches should do!

CL, I agree. But it's definitely a place where a QB (w/ more eligibility) should consider, someone who would have to sit out a year.

I'm surprised none of the 5th year OL transfers out there haven't landed in Gainesville. Practically guaranteed a starting spot!

Who wants him? He can lose as many games for a team as he can win. Pass for me. Anyone that runs away from competition like he did is not a player on my team.

Jez...not in Alabama's plans for heaven's sake..at least not yet...who knows with Saban lately.

Men, give the Florida coach (ex-Alabama OC) two of Alabama's quarterbacks and he would develop them into a winner and fast.

McElwain is very good with QBs after all he got QB Garret Grayson selected in the 3rd round of the draft. Although he did not recruit Grayson, but he did have some help such as the LT Sambrailo who was also taken in the 3rd round, the Dee Hart RB who transferred from Alabama and a young Rashard Higgins, probably the best WR in the MWC. He had a stacked team in Fort Collins against MWC competition and played his cards perfectly to get a job at a top tier SEC school.

Mr. S, almost a repeat at Colorado State with long time Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo taking over. Don't be surprised if Bobo brings in several SEC transfers in the next year or two. Bobo is a good man...I'm pulling for him to do well.

Only time will tell..............

Well, you can write off Texas and Boston College as two schools Golson will transfer to. Both schools have been mentioned as possibilities. Notre Dame will not release Golson to any team it plays this season.

Golson has expressed strong interest in three SEC schools. Georgia (will visit tomorrow), LSU and South Carolina. Spurrier has indicated he would welcome Golson to Columbia. He had planned to visit SC today but I heard the visit has been put off. Just a hunch, I think he probably goes back to his home state of South Carolina.

Looks like Golson is headed to Florida State.

He was on campus yesterday and Jimbo Fisher admitted "We're Negotiating. He's a great young man." One source said it was
a done deal and Golson would announce after graduation this weekend.

Golson had indicated earlier he would visit South Carolina, Georgia and LSU. FSU was never mentioned.
