I'm not sold on UCLA yet. They are good, but I'm not ready to put them on the Final Four level they have been the last three years.

UCLA has cruised through the Pac 10. UCLA isn't the type of team to go out and hang 80 something on you like some of these Big East teams will. That is just not how Howland wins games. I can see ND scoring some points as well. UCLA has no answer for Harangody, as most teams don't. McAlraney gives the Irish good balance, and it should keep Howland from sending double team after triple team down at Gody in the post. They also won't get abused on the boards like some B.E. teams have the potential to do. Regardless of their record ND is no slouch. There is a reason they were picked in the pre season top 10, I believe ahead of UCLA? I have a feeling we are going to see some fight from the Irish tomorrow with a good shot at the upset.

GL tomorrow

the pac 10, esp UCLA gets no love. UCLA plays excellent defense (and so far through the first half, they seem to have an answer for Harangody). People forget that Howland was a Big East coach (and national coach of the year when he was with Pitt) and he knows how to play against these B.E. schools.
UCLA.

and as far as UCLA not being able to put up points (like 80)? What about the 97 they dropped on Stanford last week? You're right...thats not how Howland wins games...but they still can do it if they wanted to.

Go Bruins :cripwalk:

Please try to get along...

Please use the "Report a Post" icon to report any bashing or out of line posting that either happens to you or any you see happening to others - it will be greatly appreciated by The Rx.com Moderator team as well as the poster being abused. Reports will be acted upon promptly and with complete discretion. Simply click on the triangular icon at the bottom left hand corner of all Rx.com post boxes.

Icon: All posts have this icon at bottom left.

Also any poster who sees something that appears to be out of line should feel free to contact any of the Rx. moderators (see list below) or use the report Post function icon above.

Using the icon will immediately generate an email with a link to the offending post to several moderators, one of which who upon receipt of the email will take immediate action and deal with the offending poster or posters. All you need to do is click on the icon and type one,two or maybe three simple words and click on SEND REPORT.

Those few words can be something along the lines of abusive poster, profane language, uncalled for bashing, unfair criticism etc.

When posters assist each other in such a manner then there is little chance that a poster will be on the receiving end of unfair bashing or abusive posting for very long.

Posters are also invited to email moderators individually if so desired. However this method for reporting abusive posting can be slower in obtaining results than using the report a post icon method.

Rx.com Moderator Team with email addresses:

admin@therx.com (Tech help)
robfunk@therx.com
Sportsavant@therx.com
OldmanTed@therx.com

The entire Rx.com moderator team is asking all of you to show some courtesy to each other. Everyone who is serious about betting on sports deserves to be allowed to post their own thread without being abused or ridiculed by other posters. This goes for veteran and newbie posters alike.

Do not get into an argument in any sport forum threads, simply report the out of line posts and a moderator will deal with it ASAP.

Any threads or posts that don't conform to this policy are subject to being moved to the Rubber Room entirely.

Thank you from the entire Rx.com Mod Team..

I would say great analysis, but your post is at halftime of the ND-UCLA game instead of BEFORE the game. :nohead:

i agree 100%. while ND has been toughened up fighting through the Big East, UCLA has cruised through the Pac 10. ND wont be abused on the glass like they were @ pitt.

you're right, it was much much worse than it was @ pitt.

ucla = final four team.

notre dame = first round exit in the NIT

big east = incredibly overrated

hope you're caught up now before you continuously lose your dough betting on the irish:toast:

nope. just a regular play. lots of talk from somebody who has posted 30 plays.

i dont even feel the need to post plays. i started doing so so i could rip big mouths like you without you coming back with "where are your posted plays i bet you hit 45%". incredibly small sample size, but last i checked 19-12 is better than 60%. what were you hitting again, below 53%? that's not even making money if you're flat betting, which you should be.

give it up kid, you tried to talk big again today and the better cappers were able to identify the shitty big east teams BEFORE THE GAME. nice of you to realize it afterwards, must be hard coming to terms with the cuse and nd being bad teams, but maybe if you were a better evaluater of basketball you could have been able to tell that before the game and saved some money.

nd has been the best fade in the nation this year, and so has syracuse on the road.

congrats pal. you knew nd and syracuse were shit. really??? must have took a genius to figure that out. i have advised playing against syracuse the last 3 weeks, and i have been against ND more then i have been on. i never said they were good, just thought it might have been a good spot for them to stay within a large number.
good job on the 60% after your 30 something games. come talk to me after the season is complete.

i never said they were good, just thought it might have been a good spot for them to stay within a large number.

hmm..you for some reason brought up that they were a preseason top 10 team for a reason? yeah, but you never said they were good. you only said they had a shot at beating ucla on the road, but shitty teams do that all the time, right? even better, shitty teams that don't play defense.

i guess it's not your fault though. being a big syracuse fan and going to all the games you can't be that familiar with the concept of playing defense. you see DEFENSE is what GOOD teams play, you know, teams like UCLA that could score 80 a night if they wanted to play playground ball like cuse, nd, providence and nova. maybe someday howland can teach boehiem about this crazy secret of defense that has escaped him this year.

even the great almighty homedawg? say it aint so:shocked:

ya it is. i'm not the one claiming to be a know it all. whenever games lose i played where i felt i was on the wrong side i would always come back and say i was wrong. however i would never ever expect to see something like that coming from you.
