hell no. ND will continue to be fade bait till they break the streak. I ride trends, never jump off em.
ND has always been cash cow for me during the bowl season and until they prove me wrong I ain't changing
I hear ya about the streak, but this is a pretty narrow minded approach to handicapping. ND has historically been in bowl games that they did not deserve to be in which contributed most to the long losing streak. For once they are matched up against a team where they have a decided talent edge. Even though going to the Hawaii bowl is typically a letdown, i guarantee you that the only thing those players are hearing about is the losing streak. I think ND's level of effort will be better than most experts expect here.
If Michael Floyd plays I like ND. When he got hurt the ND offense went to shit.
ND sucks in bowl games, but Weis has to win this game or I think his ass is gone.
It would be nice if he plays, but ND should be able to run the ball effectively in this game if he is unable to go. As poorly as Clausen has played of late, look for ND to run the ball almost every down and wear down Hawaii, much like they did against Navy earlier in the year.
Keep in mind that Cincinnati had nothing to play for in the regular season finale. They had already locked up a BCS berth, so they did not bring their "A" game to Hawaii for sure. They also lost one of their best playmakers on offense early in the game which greatly aided Hawaii too.
Notre Dame on the other hand should bring their "A" game here. Weis is still under fire and they desperately need a bowl win of any kind. Given the motivation for ND, and the decided talent edge, Hawaii is in trouble here in all likelihood.
