This Cal team isn't #4 in the nation.....NO FVCKING WAY!. Hell, they wouldn't even be #4 in the SEC.

I believe that USC is a very good team, but the rest of that conference is woeful. Their sole purpose is to lose huge to the Trojans every year, so that they are garaunteed an easy path to a BCS Bowl.

I wouldn't go by what USC did today. UCLA was in a good situation with 3 weeks rest and USC coming off a Sat. night game. Though it does make me wonder with that Cal game how good the Pac 10 is outside their conference.

I'd rather see a Pitt-Texas. That way I can take my girlfriend out to the movies and get back in time for the Orange Bowl.

Well, if I had a vote, I would select Texas ahead of Cal.

After watching that game there is no question that Texas will get the couple of votes to jump over Cal for the BCS game.

IMO

Cal hardly beat the New Orleans Bowl representative

It still wouldn't surprise me if the BCS voted Cal over Texas. Just for the watchability factor. Texas is one dimensional and not the most exciting team to watch. Unless your a Longhorn fan.

I am a Big 12 guy but really didn't want to see Texas get a BCS game just so I could listen to Mack Brown whine about being left out and how bad the system is. Hopefully then other coaches would say the system is bad.

But Cal did absolutely nothing to impress voters that more than likely watched the game since there was nothing else today.

Texas is the team that I like to hate as much as Colorado (NU fan) but after watching that there is no doubt Texas will probably jump Cal.

USC vs OU
Michigan vs Texas
Utah vs Pitt
Auburn vs VT

don't forget that the bowl commitee gets to select who they want in there bowl. And up until the BCS started the rose bowl was always big 10 vs. Pac 10. don't you think they would want to keep that traditional matchup if they have a choice. Not to mention a team hardly ever gets jumped if they win. No matter how ugly the win.

For the record I agree with you LSU. Cal is not #4. Hell I think Louisville would beat the hell out of them and their #9.

As for beating Cal/ Mich game. Cal's pass Defense isn't very good and Henne can throw the ball. Plus Mich has the best WR core in the country.

I won't even get started on how big Aubrun is going to get F-ed.

Who gets first pick? The Rose or Fiesta Bowl? Is the Fiesta a done deal with Utah and Pitt?:WTF:

Opps just realized that the commitee doesn't mean sh*t. The rose bowl get first pick and apparently has to take the number 4 team.

Gosooners,

The only team that is a done deal right now is my boys Michigan. They are in the Rose, everything else won't be figured out until tomarrow.

a texass/michigan game won't happen (if texass makes the BCS) from what i have heard

the big 12 has a tie-in to the fiesta bowl so odds are texass would end up there

meanwhile, utah would play in...get this...the ROSE BOWL against michigan in what could be one of the all-time biggest coaching mismtaches in history: Urban Meyer (if he coaches the game) against Lloyd Carr

having said all that - the way i look at things is this:

ona NEUTRAL field - who would win a texass/cal game

one again - an ENORMOUS coaching mismatch here for cal since we all know mack brown gags in big games. on a neutral field if they played 10 times cal wins AT LEAST 6 and more like 7 or 8 times.

say what you will about usc - but answer me this ONE question:

(if cal makes the BCS) name the only school to play TWO games against BCS teams)?

give up?

i'll tell you - the 2004 CFB season national champion USC Trojans - the same school that would be going for its 3rd straight nat'l championship if they had a playoff system

nice to see some "LS-what" people can look at this in an "unbiased" way

and for the record - while i live in So Cal i am NOT a USC homer - not by a longshot as people here know.

It would like to see USC play those 2 BCS teams now. Because they barely got by Va.Tech and were lucky to beat Cal.:finger:

Win,

From what I just heard on ESPN The rose bowl has to take the #4 team. So if Texas jumps Cal than they would go to the rose bowl.

Here's one for ya. Name the only team to beat 4 teams with at least 9 wins this season. Give up. Auburn. OU and USC combine for 3.

Also curious why you think a Utah/ Mich game would be a huge coaching mismatch.

Can't we ALL just get along?!!

I'm also curious about why he thinks the almighty Urban Renewal is the best coach. Even Mack Brown would look like a genius in the Mountain West. The conference that plays all that great defense. LOL!!!:WTF:
