I'm referring to the Phoenix Coyotes as the team to win the Stanley Cup. Yes that's right, the Phoenix Coyotes. I see them currently posted at 5000-1. Gretz has this team playing as well and or better than any team in the NHL right now and with his leadership behind the bench, who knows what lies ahead and how far this team might go this year. I have always been a Bryzgalov goaltender supporter and that where it all starts in the postseason---if a team lags a hot goaltender or a goaltender that lacks consistency, rarely do they ever advance past the second round, if not the first round of the postseason. Shane Doan as a leader on the ice is as good as it gets and the offseason deal that the Coyotes made in acquiring Florida Panthers forward Olli Jokinen solidified the second line for the club.
I'm watching or have been watching portions of the game involving Phoenix and Detroit tonight and the Coyotes are taking right to the visitors on every shift at every move. Call this a 'statement' game, call it what you want but this Phoenix club, at 5000-1, is a solid wager for certain in my opinion. Hey lets face it, you really can't go wrong with the 'Great One' when it comes to the postseason.
Finally, who said or thought the Arizona Cardinals would be playing in Tampa Bay come February 1st? Imagine, the the desert getting a Super Bowl participant and an NHL Stanley Cup Final participant in the same year.
With that being said, I rest my case for this excellent, excellent 'future' NHL Stanley Cup wager.

the problem with the desert dogs isn't their players or coaches, it's
their finances. they do not have the ability to pick up payroll
to improve themselves at the trading deadline. they might even be forced
to dump salary. the yotes and their fans deserve better than this.

5000-1?

Good God you're a moron.

If I'm a moron, then you're a prick who loves licking a moron's asshole because that's exactly what you're doing right now, so go play in the fucking traffic and leave my asshole alone.

I don't have any lines for NHL Futures.. I've been told that the Wild are +5000 as well... I was completely blown away by this! This team plays in the toughest division in the NHL, have the defense and goaltender to take it all..basically if they make it to the cup they WILL win it...

If the season ended today Minnesota wouldn't even be in the playoffs much less make it to the cup.

I don't know about the toughest division in the NHL, but they certainly play in the toughest confernce. Another solid reason they are at 50/1.

They were the weakest division winner in last seasons playoffs and couldn't beat the Avs with home ice advantage. And not sure a healthy Kurtis Foster is a difference maker.

I can get the Devils at 45-1. With Brodeur coming back soon and they are battling for first in their division I think it is worth it. Any agree?

Great number! They should be a top 3 seed, good depth, Brodeur in net.

I'm not saying they win it all but at 45/1, offer great opportunities to hedge.

Where is the 45/1?

Food for thought:

- take the top 2 teams in each division
- 3 NOT PROFITABLE / TAKE OUT 3:

Boston Bruins
Detroit Red Wings
San Jose Sharks

- wager ANY AMOUNT on the remaining 9:

- PROFIT AS LONG AS 1 WINS 25.00 X 9 = 225.00

Calgary Flames +1800 25.00 // 450.00
Chicago Blackhawks +1400 25.00 // 350.00
Florida Panthers +6000 25.00 // 1500.00
Minnesota Wild +5000 25.00 // 1250.00
Montreal Canadiens +1000 25.00 // 250.00
New Jersey Devils +2000 25.00 // 500.00
New York Rangers +1600 25.00 // 400.00
Phoenix Coyotes +8000 25.00 // 2000.00
Washington Capitals +1000 25.00 // 250.00

- Don't wager if you think 1 of the top 3 will win
- WAGER ON REMAINING 9 AND 1 WINNER WILL PUT YOU IN PROFIT

Phoenix at 5000-1 I doubt it +5000 like many said sounds right.

New Jersey 45-1 is a great number with or without Brodour they're in 3rd now mostly without Brodour
