Ohio State performs the same song and dance every year: first, the Buckeyes look great, are highly ranked, and receive hype. Then, during the Big Ten play, the Buckeyes struggled. Right now, they are mired in a slump, although the current odds remain influenced by their earlier success. So far, the Buckeyes have lost four straight games. Playing at home against a rather weak team has not enabled them to end their rut, either. On the other side, Northwestern is playing better basketball and has shown its ability to win conference games on the road.
