I agree with you. I read the same issue.
Sounds funny to me.

He never puts his Monday Night play in Power Sweep. Where did you guys read that? I have it right in front of me and he says nothing like that. Could you be thinking of something else?

It was in his pre-season powersweep where he predicted the week 4 MNF winner.

That ought to fuel the fire of Phil hitting both sides of a game.

I just got off the phone with Northcoast, and they said that they changed their side b/c Kordell is not doing what they thought he would be.
Hope this clears this up.

They pick week 4 before the season starts?
I bet you can buy picks from them also. That is some really dumb sh!t.

From what I remember, they have plays/picks and projections mapped out a month ahead of time. They have their own power ranking system, figure a spread, and compare their spread, to Vegas' spread, use stats compiled so far, injuries and other news and make a play. The more these things match up, the more they like the play.

Factor in the Bears have the worst offense:

**31st ranked passing offense thus far (completing less that 53% of their passes),

**30th ranked rushing offense

Factor in the Bears have the 31st rank defense:

**16 worst pass defense (giving up more than 60% completion percentage)

**Ranked LAST in Rushing defense giving up 4.5 yards per carry.

The pass defense would be WORSE but teams only have to run on them. Also add on that rumors are swirling about Juron being fired... I think we all thought the Bears wouldn't be this bad, and I'd switch my pick too.

Their reasoning for making the switch is fine. However, they do sell a package of games prior to the season starting that they feel are good plays at the time. Maybe the ones they sell they do not flip or just pass when the time comes.

With that being said, no matter what the outcome they will have a win to talk about. Either tomorrow morning on their comp lines as a Monday Night Magic play or in next year's pre-season newsletter about how they predicted a game two months in advance. I am sure they would prefer the first scenario.

It is all about marketing and making dough.
