Let's get the ball rolling.
Who is it gonna be?
After looking at his Powersweep I think it will be one of the following: Wisconsin; Colorado; Memphis; Auburn; Nebraska; Oregon; or Utah State.
Any other opinions?

He is 0-2 on those plays, and the games weren't even close to covering. So be careful.

I agree with POSTMAN!!! I predicted both 5* games on here in the threads and that was the only consolation as both 5*'s got the shit pounded out of them. His plays were never in the game, a sign of very bad handicapping. Both truly the wrong sides. His college this year has sucked major hind tit although his NFL capping has been solid this season. I would tread lightly as I see him not having any grip on college football this season....

Regards
Bernie

P.S. I guess one could use the DUE THEORY to handicapping since Northcoast certainly is DUE LOL

I knew it would be this week, especially after a 5-0 week last saturday, a rare winning week for him in College. The situation is perfect for him to sell his 5*, I'm just not buying. Well, you wouldn't have to buy as you can get it here for free, but you know what I mean.

Likely Candidates are Wisconsin, Nebraska/K.State, Colorado, Purdue, and my favorite NC State. Can't be his favorites BYU or Notre Dame since they play each other.

It usually is a Dog that he thinks can win outright, or a close favorite. All would qualify, Colorado is a 7' point favorite, but they are going against Iowa State who are just woefull. Also NC State is a dog that bites, especially against FSU in recent years.

I will definately stay away from the game. As Postman and Bernie state, just hasn't been on at all in College outside of last week, which by the way, was the first time all season since week one he won his top College play.

he's wedded to certain teams like Neb and Fl. so, wouldn't suprise me if it's either one of these. my advice - don't go crazy since he's so terrible.

If you have Power Sweep, on page 7 under Opening Lines there is the Vegas line vs. what Northcoast's line is.

My two guesses are:
1) Nebraska (he has them -7) Vegas +1
2) Wisconsin (his line is -10) Vegas -2

Knowing his love for Nebraska I think this is the play. He has used Wisconsin for several 5 stars in the past and he is in Big 10 country.

LENBO, excellent point. He values His lines more than life itself and those are two pretty big differences in point spreads. Both are home dogs, big differences in his line and the Vegas Line, and two teams he's been sleeping with for years.

He also mentioned how he felt Michigan State was an overrated squad who has played a soft schedule and will not fair well vs tougher competion in an early Comp play. Looks ripe for a Wisconsin play. Kansas State he actually had a play on last week, so don't know if he'd go against them here, especially after they've won for him. He loves Nebraska, despite the fact they're not that good of a team. Could he be blind enough to stick with them despite their erratic performance this season against a pretty good K-State team?? Only Phil could pull something like that.

Judging from your lines, I definately think Wisconsin is the play. Bigger line difference and weaker opponent against a team he doesn't like. Liking K-State and playing them, I doubt he'll go against that, especially as a 5* GOY. We'll see.

Geek -

His pre season magazine predicted Nebraska to win the Big 12 North. Everyone else had Kansas State. He also had Pitt to win the Big East and used them as his top play last week against Va
Tech in what was a huge game for the Big East title. Very similar situation with Nebraska this week. The Big 12 North title is up for grabs here.

Northcoast is 23-31 on the year in college. After a 4-1 week last week. This is his first GOY this year in either college or NFL. He has sucked it up pretty bad this year in NCAA. He was 18-10 going into last weeks NFL. He may have had a few plays here and there that I missed but I get these from a guy who has his late phone plays. At least I can say this for him, he does only have 1 NCAA and NFL GOY each year rather than one every 3rd week. He reports 17-3 the last 20 years. I can only vouch for the last 5. Hard to argue with those results, but I personally am of the opinion that EVERYONE will eventually drift toward the 40-60% mark. Really good cappers can stay around 60-65%, but only the select few. Any play is one injury or blown call away from a loser. If I already like his play, I'll probably play a few more dollars, if I don't like it I am passing. I surely will not fade it. It may lose, but I ain't getting in the way of a 17-3 streak. I'll be willing to lay odds that he moves the line 1.5 by kickoff though.

Phil is hyping the fact that he has gone 12-3 the last 3 weeks. No doubt that's a nice run,but everybody was probably fading his plays at that point.I agree with LENBO and Geek-WISCONSIN.

Ok let me take a poke at who it is....Like I stated earlier I had guessed both 5*'s in college, ASU and Tennessee. This week it will be one of 5 teams....

Ohio State at HOME (small line)
Wisconsin at HOME (small Line and a favorite))
Nebraska at HOME (small line and a favorite)
Colorado at PATHETIC IOWA STATE
LSU at PATHETIC ALABAMA

Yours in Winners

Bernie, know you have hit both this year...to help you weed out this week i think you can throw out Ohio State and Missouri because he has been high on Purdue and Colorado as of late. He usually does not like to against teams that he likes against other teams that he likes.
