I didn't have a dog in the fight but how does that happen. I finally saw the tying 3 and you mean to tell me with .8 seconds you can catch the ball take 2 steps then heave fit 60 ft. Come on. Clock keeper won that game. Buddy heil
wants that clock operator.

ball went through the hoop with 1.2 seconds left, so if we're going to start complaining, then put more time on the clock to begin with

and while w're on the officials in that game, lets talk about the free throw disparity and phantom calls and foul trouble and who was getting the short end of everything

I empathize with anyone who had Cinci, that was a hard loss to swallow, but I'm tired of all these threads blaming officials, they kept Cinci in the fucking game to begin with

and Buddy dribbled a whole lot more, still almost got it off, only helps to prove jalen's shot was legit

Don't get caught up in all the drama. The fact is the kid should never have had a chance to make that shot. Any good coach or player knows your up 3, you foul on the inbound immediately and you win the game at a minimum by one. That was bad decision making and nothing more. No way I let a 3 pt lead lose with .8 left.

+1

Worst case if you don't foul you have to put pressure on the guy shooting. No one should have a free shot from anywhere on the court at any time (unless they are FREE throws of course).

Hey guys I'm not whining at all. I didn't bet the game. Someone just tell me how it is possible to do what he did in .8 seconds. It isn't. Willie I bet Cinci wished the refs had checked the clock then they probably would have set up some defense.

It's a part of basketball. .8 is enough time to catch and shoot by the rules. The clock operator won't start until it's caught, so technically you have 1/10ths of seconds built in with human involvement.

That at shot was good

There is a catch & shoot. But what about catch take 2 steps and shoot 60 ft. In .8 no way. Try one time it can't be done.

you understand the ball just has to leave his hands right? The ball does not have to go through the hoop before the buzzer

Cincinnati's coach thought UConn's miracle 70-foot buzzer beater was no good. He was wrong.

--------------------------------------------------------

the officials didn't use the game clock, they watched the replay and used their own stop watch

they concluded the shot was off in time

that was one fucking lucky shot, but it was off on time and legit

(found this link on a UConn board in a thread bashing Cronin for crying like a pussy, priceless)

Hey at least I'm not the only one who thinks that shot can't be done in .08 seconds. I see the shot dr has said the same thing in a thread he started. Good luck guys
