This is why I laugh when people talk about how intelligent guys like Richard Sherman are and how RG3 could have went to Stanford and all. RG3 scored in the low 20's on the Wonderlic. Vince Young stayed eligible at Texas for 3 or 4 years and then scores very low on wonderlic. A score of 10 means you are barely literate. These guys are given grades. Not only did McCants stay eligible for basketball, but he made the Dean's list. Notice how you rarely see these guys academically ineligible for the next season? Look at Jameis Winston, he is a full time athlete. Football from June to Jan. and baseball from Jan. to June. I have never seen a Heisman trophy canidate miss the next season. When I was in college, I took summer classes just because I knew the athletes take those and they were a lot easier to get good grades in and this was not a high level football school. On top of all of this, they want money as well. Sure lets pay our 3rd string nose tackle money and give him a free education as well.
On another note, i love how these guys turn on their schools for no reason at all. He benefited from not having to do shit and then go national with it long after he is gone so now guys that have nothing to do with it may get punished. I always notice that in college basketball, the 11-15 guys that never play are mostly the white academics so the school can say "we are graduating x%" and are counting those guys who really don't contribute to a single win or loss.
And eliminate "African American studies" as a major. How is "Caucasian American studies" not a major. A lot more material would be in that major.
