ITF finds no THG
London, England (Sports Network) - The International Tennis Federation announced on Monday that all rescreened drug tests from the U.S. Open and Davis Cup came back negative for the steroid THG.
The ITF decided last month to recheck samples for the newly-discovered drug, as samples from both in-competition and out-of-competition were screened.
Tetrahydrogestrinone (THG) was detected this past summer when a track and field coach sent a syringe with the substance to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. Five track athletes and four NFL players tested positive for the drug.
