Thank the refs. They say refs should never influence the outcome of the game. But they did.

If I was on the Rams, I would be more pissed about them not coming out of the locker room after half. The score should have been worse than what it was after idiotic coaching by SF. If I was on the Rams I would be pissed also at Austin Davis for missing a wide open Cook for a TD that would have gotten the cover at 3.5.

Never understood the thought process of blaming a ref for a call in the 1H while neglecting a teams play in the complete 2H.

Rams were straight out flat after 1Q........that TD pass for the niners took the wind right out of their sails right before half time as well. Its like they were all amped up on Redbull and Vodka and then had the awful crash that comes after a night of those..... BOL this week

You have a lot of football to watch if you think refs have NEVER influenced a game until now. lol But in reality, there was absolutely NO reason to back the Rams other than this type of motive: "Everyone's on SF so I'm taking the Rams," approach. STL has not done much this season to deserve a win. I do believe they lose out until Wk. 9 and go to SF and show up though.

Wow a 14 point win in a game with a 3/3.5 point spread, and its the refs fault you lost your bet?

I had San Fran and I wonder how final scored would have played out if they went in halftime up at least 14-3. I suspect San Fran would have won anyways maybe by 3 and if you had the hook then Rams could have covered. Huge swing there.

I love bettors who blame a loss on the refs but never mention it when the refs help out on a win....lol

lol I readily admit (and accept) bailout calls. This just wasn't one of those scenarios. Varkey was right....when you bet on shitty teams, shitty things happen. Like an 80 yard TD with no time left basically lol. That was awful and Jenkins should be put down.

Nailed it

@ OP - Who do you feel played better as a team, Rams or 49ers? Actually, don't answer that because we all know the Rams played flat every quarter after the first. The rams just weren't a good bet, period. They were 1-3 with a rookie QB and 30th in run D vs. the 3rd best running team in the league, a good QB and a good defense to boot. How was this ever a good decision? Too many people leveling themselves because the spread never moved past 3-4. Also, too many people picking them just because they were home dogs. You can blame it on the calls all you want, but Harbaugh gave you guys plenty of chances to make something happen and you still couldn't take advantage of that.

Had the Rams small, but that phantom PI penalty at the end of the 2nd really turned the game around. The Rams would have had 1st and 10 on the 20, and it could have been a 21-3 lead maybe or 17-3. Would have changed the game. That being said the Rams looked like shit in the second half.

Maybe so, but the Niners have certainly had more than their share of calls go against them this year, and an inordinately large amount of them at key points to stall their own drives, and extend those of their opponents. The league has even admitted to blown calls a couple of times, something they avoid whenever possible.

League wide, the officiating has been ridiculously flag happy this season.

How can any real sports gambler say this? Jaguars and Raiders paid off HUGE for me this week and I am sure they would be classified as SHITTY.

Agree, and it has taken a lot away from the game.

Agree. That's the nature of variance. Everyone tends to remember the times when they get unlucky and usually forget about all the lucky calls that go their way and are shoved into the back of their memory. It works both ways.

There is definitely a lot of over-officiating this year. Just let them play the game.

If it's any consolation, 49ers looked like shit first half. That fumble I didn't get to see the replay, but it sure looked like he threw it to the Rams lol I'm sure that's not how it went down, but it looked wild to be barely touched and the ball flies out.
