Philadelphia Flyers -135

Last time the Flyers were up three games to one to the New Jersey Devils, Jersey went on to rattle off three straight W’s. Don’t think for a second that fact won’t be first and foremost in every Flyer’s mind today when they take home ice to finish what they started.

The difference between that Devil comeback four years ago and today’s game is Scott Stevens won’t be there and Martin Brodeur has been the second best goalie in the series. Robert Esche has clearly outplayed Brodeur and coming off Esche’s 3-0 shutout last game his confidence has to be at a year long high.

Flyers currently have the better goalie, better team, home ice, and the intangible of knowing all to well it ain’t never over till it’s over. They want nothing to do with letting this game slip through their grasp only to have to travel to Jersey for a game six. Look for them to finish it off today.

Vic- If the Flyers left the ice and went to their dressing room, how many minutes would it take for the Devils to score? I like the Flyers today as well. They'll come right out and be all over New Jersey. I'm a little surprised at how well Esche is playing. He couldn't stop a beachball the last three weeks of the season. Philadelphia is simply bigger, stronger and faster than New Jersey and Brodeur has let in some soft goals.

I was tempted to take the -1.5 on COL but seeing as how they went to OT a few times and PHI was same story.. low scoring/close games games. Would have been HUGE profit.. Odds were all 2.9-3.3 or in and around there.

One thing for sure it feels great to win again.. I was on a terrible losing streak and I have only lost once in the past few days on TB -1.5 and BOS over MTL a few days ago. But other than that, all profit for once

Nice call on the Flyers Vic!

Did you say something about making a big play on the Flames for tonight?

Absolutely a great game. This is what makes hockey such a great sport.

In regard to taking the -1.5 goals. You have to believe that the team that's on the verge of being eliminated is going to pull all the stops come crunch time. I think that Calgary minus the 1.5 could be a good spot for this.

However I'm a firm believer that a win is a win and I'm not getting greedy. I have Calgary on the series at +160 and for me that's enough action to makes this game a great one to watch.

As far as the B's/Habs match up. This one is all about pride and without a nickel wagered I'll be watching this one with equal interest.

Who say's you need to bet a game to get a couple skipped heart beats!?

Enjoy the games gentlemen.

(congrats Savant)

Nice hit Vegas! I let the "Ghost" of 2000 and my books line (-145) keep me off this one. Still was rooting hard for the Homeboys.

Let's go Flames!

Congrats
