Solid OTT selection SS, thanks for sharing. and don't let all the haters get to you.

Nice write-up to support your selection also.

Keep up the hard work.

Also, glad to see the GOY designation was a 3x, not something stupid. Good discipline.

well lads...if you check out my NHL card for tonite I am still in a position to post a profit potentially for this eveneing as I am 2-0 on the 1 unit plays thus far...

however the GOY did go down in smokes...as noted in my writeup Lalime is suspect & he allowed a bad goal to tie 2-2...Bondra also missed a crossbar which would have put it up 3-1. Anyway this was the first GOY I played & will likely be the last unless I get another gut feeling....

Please also note the disclaimer in my NHL thread...

SS- Don't let it get you down. I took my worst beat of the year earlier on the same Senator team. They have a ton of talent, but for some reason just don't show up some nights. I quess it is bound to happen during a long season.

BOL. with the ohter plays. wil.

thanks for the kind words gents...up to now the only thing I have ever recommended was a recommended 1% of bankroll until today...& hope everyone who read the post also read the disclaimer....we are all responsible for our own at the end of the day...

funny thing is If Van can pull off a victory I will have a break even nite in pucks & a break even season completely since posting picks here...as vegas vic said to me yesterday...treading water is better than drowing...besides it is only one sport... I cap NBA & NHL myself but look for strong NCAAB cappers & line movements/value to make my decision....the NCAAB forum has been on fire!!! If you know who is for real & who is talking smack...

Losing your 3* GOY is no problem. Just go 3-0 in 1* plays and you made your money back.

The problem other players have is when they see a GOY play or they have a GOY pick of there own, they put the entire bankroll into play. If it wins the guy looks like a god, and when it doesnt come in, he looks like a square.

Don't worry what these other jokers say. If picking winners were that easy, we wouldnt have to work for a living.

Hey Slurpee,

If you are new to sports wagering, you just learned the most valuable rule: Never, Ever bet your entire bankroll on 1 Game!

I've done it, and so has every other player here. Win or lose.

You can do one of two things;

[1] Let it eat at you, day in day out till it starts to create problems in your everyday life ... or

[2] Learn from your mistakes.

Going with number 2, separates the players that win on a consistant basis, and the players that don't.

Is sounds easy, but it never is. For every guy that has a GOY Play, someone always has the other side. Just remember that.

if that really happened it is terrible...but note the following:

1. My record going into my GOY was 28-28...nothing to be impressed at.

2. My M Management is clearly listed...each play should represent 1% of Betting cash available...tonite it was 3%...It is all about money management...that is what these threads are all about.

3. In the interest of responsibility I but a BOLD disclaimer at the bottom of my selection...

everyone accountable to themselves...if anyone followed me they should be no worse off then 3%...Max...If they Followed my Full card they Broke even as I went 3-0 in the 1 Unit Games...

nothing wrong with a game of the year...some guys have two game of the years in one night, three in a week, lol

people tend to overlook the 'game of the millenium' and 'entire bankroll' plays that lose.

sports savant, dont worry about losing this one, at least you have the balls to post plays. keep an open mind, and you will pick up a lot of key angles along the way, your adherence to money management will keep you in the game so that you can do this. be careful who you listen to here, there are some good people, and there are people who just need attention. keep in mind that everyone wins at some point, and some are just better at keeping the wins fresh and burying the losers, making it appear they are winning more overall than what is in fact reality.
