View attachment NFL WEEK 8 STAT TABLE.pdf

PFS is a projected final score using first-half scoring averages only. I added 1.5 points to home team and subtracted 1.5 from away team.
A factor of .25 for net yards per play differential and .2857 for net yards per pass differential was used. These factors are simply based on league averages.

The stats are misleading. There is no separation for home or away scoring. Especially misleading is New England playing one winning team and 6 other losers. Re-factor games against winning teams and this chart is very misleading. Capping is far more sophisticated than that chart.

Not intending to criticize your post. Just making light of how misleading the chart is. There are way more factors than what that Chart offers.

I appreciate the post.
Thanks

Not sure what your outcomes will be, Cdn ice, but don't be discouraged if they are not as predictive as you hope. Keep working at it. You may land on the blend that many of us have searched for for years. I always encourage research. Good luck.

CDN.........Welcome to the RX.

Capping the NFL is as complicated as any endeavor in sports betting. I appreciate fresh ideas. I joined the army 53 years ago, tomorrow. I did a tv show at Brooke army medical center. One of the cameramen did tv work for the NFL and college fb in the Dallas/Houston areas. On the times I went with him, it was fascinating listening to the talk, at the venue, hours before kickoff. Nothing quite like inside info. It was that experience that got me interested in sports betting forums.

So re: new ideas....who knows, maybe someone will come up with an approach that will give us all a leg up.

BOL to all.

This info is widely available but I never see it all in one place so I am simply sharing it. Every stat , including home/away and strength of schedule, has its drawbacks.

In the early 2000s (2004-2006?) was here under a similar name and handicapped CFL and NBA games. I primarily used first half numbers to handicap full games and has worked very well since. The Y/PT. Y/PLAY and Y/PASS are all full-game stats but they can each tell a story.

I appreciate the feedback and you likely will see.a few adjustments to the table or I'll add a second one
