NFL Week #8 (Heavy Play)

Ravens +7.5 -107 ****

I know Ogden is out. I know Jamal Lewis is out. I know they won't score much this week. So what? The Ravens offense hasn't scored much anyway this season. The Ravens defense is what keeps them in games and the defense is the reason they win games. The Eagles will be without their star running back (Westbrook) this week. I believe Westbrook is the main man in the Eagles attack. He can run with the best of them and can catch it out of the backfield. Dorsey levens will be the starting back this week. I don't see the Eagles having much of a running game this Sunday. Without a running game, the Ravens will be able to get to McNabb and slow down the pass attack. McNabb will be forced to roll out and perhaps scramble more than he would normally like to. Owens will get frustrated at times. I still believe the Eagles win this game, but there is NO WAY they cover the 7.5 here.

There is an even older saying," bet odds on, no boots". 7.5 does seem big against a solid D and ST especially if Westwood is out. Shame JO is out, he could just be the difference but good luck .
