Hmmmmm - interesting game tonight. This is the way I see this game - comments welcome -
SD should/could be 2-0. CAR with the miracle TD in game 1 and DEN with the gift from the officials. Rivers in my opinion is an slightly under rated QB and highly competitive. Distraction of Merriman is out of the way. LT is hurt but it doesn't matter because Sproles is so damn good. Defense should be fired up. Now they get a Monday nighter to try to right the ship.
NYJ are 1-1 and have really not looked good yet. Close game in Miami that they could have lost and a poor performance in NE against a team that looked horrible yesterday. Farve is Farve - expect some great plays but also some pitiful ones. Defense is average to above average.
Some intangables - NYJ travel cross country for a 11:30 start for them. Against a pissed off, highly motivated, talented SD squad. It appears as if the public is betting slightly more on the NYJ and heavy on the over. It doesnt happen that often but when the you get more bets on an away dog then I look hard at the home fav. 2 of my buddies that flat out suck and donate every week love the Jets and the over.
Only drawback for SD is the coaching and a possible backdoor. Still going with the below -
