how is sam hell is Washington favored in this game??? Didnt Brees just throw for over 300 with a few TD's? Didnt Washington look simply god awful against NYG? Jason Campbell is garbage....Springs got hurt last week and I dont know his status....

All signs point to a NO blowout. Yet, Wash is favored. Looks like Washington may be the play

Please inform me if you know why Washington is favored?

I too am bit puzzled by the Washington spread but here are some reasons why it might be that way.

1. Washington played last Thursday so has an extra 4 days to prepare

2. Washington played on the road at the super bowl champs house and is coming back to Washington where the environment will favor them

3. Teams that get blown out on the road usually bounce back the next week if they are playing at home. Sorry i have no examples but that is a common trend

I still like NO in this game but the spread makes me second guess playing this game

BOL this week

Keep in mind that due to the physical play of the Jags and Titans, last year a lot of teams were banged up after playing either of these teams.

I was and am still quite fond of the Jags squad but this week they are without three O-linemen and will be facing a Bills team which has improved from last year. The defense is playing good and Stroud will be facing his former team. Now I'm sure that the Jags D will come out to play as always.

On the Offensive side , Edwards has not shown enough to beat this team through the air and points will be limited.

Gerrard has struggled in pre season with the timing of his passes and did not have impressive numbers in week 1. with a banged up O-line ,expect pressure from the Bills.

I think the gameplan for both teams will need to be to try to establish a ground game. It will be tough against both of these D's so I would expect a close game with an Under.

Jags are also a great dog but expecting them to cover more than 4 points may be to much.

I like your picks, except that I don't know about New York Giants eating that much chalk.
