i never left football. ive been gearing up for this season since the last bowl game was played.im a pigskin junkie i admit it. im going to destroy my man this year. i used the basketball season to perfect my capping skills. im so ready now i cant take it much longer! argh.

I usually don't bet the first week but the Lions getting 3.5 at Chicago is looking good. Chicago's coaches are all brand new, not "new" but BRAND NEW in their roles. Grossman isn't that good and he has very little help. Call me crazy but I like Detroit's defense all of a sudden. Brock Marion, Dre Bly and Fernando Bryant as DB's?? That is an awesome collection... I think Detroit will not only cover, but win this game straight up. In the past 3 seasons I can't think of any of their matchups ending up more then a field goal in one's favor. Detroit is definately moving up in the world and should take this one...
