here we go again folks, it's finally here! I've started my season out with style, placing two larger than normal wagers on teams early on, before their starting qurterbacks were knocked out in the preseason.

Falcons -2 3 units
Jets pk 2 units

heh and I just added these:

Panthers -3.5 1 unit
Tampa Bay +3 1 unit

don't know what my record was last year, but with the help of props I did pretty well if you don't count SPORTS INTERACTION stiffing me on a 5 unit bet, and betting it all on the Superbowl.

thanks. This week 1 seems harder than previous season openers, hopefully we don't start out too slow. My favorite games usually hit the first week, as I feel the oddsmakers always screw up at least 1 line in the first week, this time I felt it was the Falcons and Jets games. Now I gotta hold on to my balls and hope for the best.

Why do you think this season opener is harder than previous?

Oreo-You have the Jets at a pick. What's up with your bookie. It's 2.5-3 everywhere. Do you need me to give you lessons on finding a better bookie like I have to teach you the raps. How could you go against your boy Raiders-he has Washington. I'm just busting your jobs there boy so just relax.

hahah I bet on the Jets before Pennington gt hurt, so it's a pick. If I had to do it over again I might take the Skins, if you put a gun to my head.

oorang, just looking at the match-ups, there seems to be a lot of even games week 1 and the lines look about right to me, so they all scare me a bit. any week anything can and will happen, so it's hard to pick more than a couple of games you like, for me anyways. The Rams Giants match-up, for example, I normally would be all over the Giants, but Kurt Warner looks like he might be over his slump from last year so I'd actually take them right now, but I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude with the Rams. Colts/Browns is another hard one, I liked the Colts this preseason but the Browns might be tough with Holcombe at Q.B. Is Green Bays slide going to continue? Hard to say, they looked decent in at least one of their preseasoners. gl guys.

I'll add that the Falcons and Jets picks I have are no longer my favorite picks, I made them before the Q.B.s got hurt, in case you missed my earlier posts. I had a herd time finding new ones, but I guess I like Tampa the most. But the Eagles looked very good from what I saw in pre. Kinda like Denver as well, but you never know with Plummer in there if he fumbles/throws picks they could lose against anyone.

I took Washington tonight. I think 1) Spurrier @ home, 2) game 1, 3) Pennington getting the most reps with unit 1 factors will provide some cushion.

I'll give the 3 just because evin if I lose with Spurrier, I know he's more upset about the loss than I am. The man cares about winning.

Game time.

I didn't want the Jets with Vinny. I took the bet before Pennington got hurt. Same with the Falcons, but luckily they pulled through without Vick. Seriously I picked 2 future bets for week one durin ghte preseason and these were it. Then the starting Q.G.'s got hurt. Luckily I had more n the Falcons so I didn't get killed, actually won some. If I had lost both bets I was considering quiting gambling altogether.

here's what I like for next week:

Bills -2 1/2 over Jags
Niners +3 over Rams
Broncos -3 over Chargers

Might get in trouble betting all road teams, but I like the lines on these, all these picks looked superior to their match-ups this week.

3-3 +1.32 units.

I blew it with the teaser tonight, my mind was thinging over but I had a bad feeling about it. Looks like an easy week ahead, hopefully there aren't a lot of shockers on Sunday.

I've also got the Raiders to win the AFC West, 3 to win 5.4. Looks like it's going to be a battle. And Tampa to win the Lombardi, 1 to win 6.
