What a season opener. Some may think it's strange that Denver wins the super bowl and then dogs at home to the same team that their D handled with relative ease. Some may thing it's a big mistake to play against Denver at home. For me it's qb play that I base my play on. We know what we have with Newton. He is a veteran and has seen many defenses and of course by now must be quite familiar with Denver's Defense. I think he will be aware of where Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware are on the field. I think the whole Carolina team will be aware and ready after the big loss in the super bowl.
Denver first year qb Siemian has no experience at this level with the exception of some ex action. Now he has to play the entire game against first string defense of a team that you know will be coming after him. He may be a good one and surprise the hell out of me in this game. I still might have a chance that Carolina just plays better and gets the W. And part of me I guess would like to see just how important Manning really was last year. At least in his play calling and decision making to help make some difference in last years game.
