i was just talking about that today with my brother. I actually had one of the larger straight wagers of my life ( top 3) on that game and remember it very well. I do think it will play into the minds of some of the players but do not think it will effect the outcome of the game. I predict Seattle will be stronger than last year. They have had more time to gel, get a few key players back and it is a season opening primetime game (only) for them. Hawks will be nearly the same on D, with more experience, and they are getting Harvin back on the offense which combined with another season under his belt, will be key in Wilson turning this team loose. I believe, the loss of green bays center will be detrimental to the team for a game like Seattle. One of the most fundamental keys in capping IMO is coaching and I believe there is a large edge here in favor of Carroll. He does an incredible job keeping his team level headed, and I think that will pay dividends this year for Seattle following a Super Bowl win, where so many teams tend to struggle the next season.
