the jets defense under new head coach rex ryan really impressed me last week. they go into houston where the texans were 6-2 last year and averaged just under 26 pts and hold the texans to 7 pts and contain one of the best wr's in the game in andre johnson. the pats looked out of sink all night monday until the bills decided to give the game away. rex ryan knows tom brady and the pats offense very well and if the jets can go into houston and shut down a good offense i see no reason brady and company dont struggle in the loud meadowlands. like this under a lot.

i have this game capped at 45 total pts but i bought the half point, well because this is the nfl and id hate to lose by the hook. cassel or croyle? it probably wont matter, yes cassel is a step up from croyle but croyle looked just fine last week at baltimore putting 24 points on the board for kc. i expect the raiders to pound the ball with mcfadden all day, last time these two met mcfadden had a career high 164 yds and last week the chiefs gave up 198 rushing yds to baltimore. chiefs pass rush is another soft spot so id expect a few big plays from an improving jamarcus russel, i see no reason this one doesnt get into the 40's.

pretty simple for me, 49ers are now 6-3 in there last 9 games going back to last year. singletary is gonna be a damn good nfl head coach and the niners are flying below the radar in my opinion. ill back a team that went to the defending nfc champions home and won in week one long before ill back a team that beat up on a helpless rams squad (worst team in football) at home.
