One of the most important things you can do is chech the schedules out when you are making these kinds of picks. The AFC division that gets the NFC West is going to have a big advantage over the other 3 AFC division. What I do is rank the divisions 1-4 in each conference. Then I rank the teams in the division. Then I check to see where the games are being played.
Having said that, I played the Rams under 5. They play the NFC North. Worse than that, they have to play the Lions (their only realistic hope for a win against the NFC North) at Detroit. They also play the AFC South, and get Jacksonville away. I think that the Rams may win 1 of those 8 games, and possibly none. They go to last years 4th place finisher in the NFC East (Washington) and host last years 4th place finisher in the South (New Orleans). Two more losses. They certainly lose every away divisional game, and one or two at home. This team has a better chance of picking first in the draft in 2010 than they have of winning more than 5 games in 2009.
