[FONT=&quot]If anyone in here is Canadian or wants to get involved in a lottery style game for football I am looking for a few more players for OLG NFL pools. If this needs to be moved mode please move it but wasn’t sure if another section was more appropriate.
Looking for a group to box games for NFL OLG pools or add people to our current group. The group I’m in we usually box 5-6 games right now but would like to get up to 7-8. Only loser this week on our ticket was the Chargers which is probably about a 15-20k loss. We box the big spreads and target the bigger payouts.
Let me know,
Thanks

i might consider it. does the point spreads move or get taken off if it moves too much?

So with pools it’s straight up winners only. Boxing games makes them automatic wins. The more you pay the more you can box.

Here’s a link on the rules,

https://www.playsmart.ca/sports-lottery-games/pro-line-pools/how-to-play/

any more questions feel free to message me or post here.

This will be like an office lottery type thing but you’ll get some
input and entertainment out of it.

so you play all 14 games so the ticket has to be in by thursday?
tell me how you play and how much it costs thanks.
the app allows you to box the games to determine the cost?

Very nice. Sounds like you’re the type of player we would want in the group. OLG prize pool is 600k weekly split between the winners.

I will update everyone on Fridays with how many people we have for that week and from there we will know how much money we have for boxes.

Everyone will send their game lists to me and we will play on whatever the average plays are.

Thats a rough idea.

If you want more info or want in let me know.

No Thursday games don’t count. Only the weekend and MNF.

boxing games changes no final payout. It just makes it easier to win.

Depending what everyone is comfortable with. $80 a week can get pricey in a lottery style game that is difficult to win. I like to take the risk so sometimes I’ll do $200.

I think what amount ppl would be comfortable with would buy them in for that % of the payout from the tickets.

ie we box 7 games and it’s $640 and you throw in $80. 12.5% of the payout would belong to you. Something like that.

Hey there UD, interesting post. I am curious how many you end up getting IN. I would be interested with further info. I am playing OLG Proline (all offerings) since day one... so I get your approach to this and have seen similar concepts fail in the long run, but it happens. My only issue is that if there are too many people, potential OLG payouts are diluted in theory. Are you capping participants? Also to cash in large sums, there is a new legal process (along with Covid restrictions). Anyway, if you want to reach out to explore, please do. thnx B

Hey SPFreak, thanks for the reply. Right now I have 21 people interested. Now you know how that goes, I would be shocked if half of those signed up and even more shocked if they continued to play the following week once they realize how hard it is to win.

I’m here to win the bigger pots. Not the $400-$500 pots but that 10k + pots.

Where my approach may be different is I have a weekly contract that must be signed so all money is secure each week and you have the choice to play or sit out depending on the week and your finances that week. Eventually I would like a solid group of guys to commit but I’m not expecting that to start.

When I do roll call on Thursday I message everyone and if you’re in that week you tell me how much you want to play for. I then tally all the money we will have that week for boxes, so say for example with everyone’s money we get up to $640 - 7 boxes. If you committed $60 of that you would be eligible for just under 10% of the payout if we won. That’s because that’s the percentage you put in towards our weekly total.

Yes 100% the more people the more splits but I think what you’re putting in is equal to what percent you’re getting out and I think that’s fair.

Eventually I may cap participants if need be but let’s see what kind of weekly numbers we can bring in first.

Not sure what the covid protocol is now but I know from before pick ups are made in Toronto which is close to me and you must know what store you got the winning ticket at. This isn’t a problem as I staple receipts to the back of every ticket I get to make sure I never forget.

Anyways, I’ll shoot u a dm as well.

thanks for the inquiry !!

i am kinda interested. i would rather have 3-4 ppl who win at football decide not by consensus.
if you have 21 ppl by consensus i think you would have too many favourites and not enough upsets in the mix.
each play is $1 ? if you dont box any teams at all is that the cost of one play?

Hey Seer,

I completely agree. I had a good chat with Powerz from this forum over the phone and he brought up similar points.

The end goal is to have a good group of 6-8 guys for the start of next season who are consistently in every single week and putting in the same amount every week so the % of the pot is the same to everyone. It’s just hard to get a good group right away so I need to start it by doing it this way. Im sure once people realize how difficult it is to win a lot will leave as well.

OLG pools is more like a multiplayer game then getting your ticket correct. You want less live tickets in the ticket population. For example when Cincy beat Titans this past weekend that is very good for your ticket if you had that game boxed. Once Cincy won your ticket is instantly way more valuable as a lot of people would have had Titans on their ticket.

Each ticket is $5. One box is $10 and it doubles for every box you want after that, ie.

1 boxes = $10
2 boxes = $20
3 boxes = $40
4 boxes = $80

and so on.

anymore questions please let me know and I’ll be happy to answer.

thanks

I will need all selections submitted by Saturday 10pm most likely. It’s hard to explain it all but let me just say it’s a lot of work for me on Sunday morning and I have to do a ton of running around and double checking to make sure every ticket is correct.

Nice picks. How we are going to do that is theres a section on the Google Sheet for you to fill out your plays and boxes for the week.

Hey Seer,

Yeah, I figured you meant Pit there.

Group picks were,

Minnesota
Baltimore
KC
Oakland
Pit
Ne

we will need NE to win tonight to cash our ticket. Unfortunately won’t be a big payout week. If Jacksonville and Chicago came through would have been a 50-70k week though.
