I would think T Owens has the best shot of the players in that group.

Bruce might have the stats, haven't looked but he was good for a long time. Although I never considered him top tier. This generations top tier was Owens, Moss and Harrison. Before them it was Rice, Reed, Sharpe.

Might be missing a receiver or two.

Warner had about 4-5 great years, not sure if that is enough or not. Same deal for Edge.

Urlacher still needs a few top nothc seasons, not there yet.

Hanson- who cares who knows. Without looking I'm sure his numbers are very good. Hes been a solid above average kicker forever but always with a crappy team (not his fault) I wouldnt vote him in but I guess they need some kickers.

Hanson? Seriously? There is ONE full time kicker currently in the hall of fame. Hanson has zero chance of getting in. TO and Bruce for sure, unless the spiteful bastards that vote hold a grudge against TO.

Warner, TO and Urlacher all easily get in.

Edge has a solid case but not a shoo in.

Hanson will need an attorney to get in, he was never known as a Vinetiari type guy so thats tough.

Bruce was always second fiddle to Holt so thats a knock on him.

PS does Feagles get in?

I think so

t.o. - lock, look at the numbers.

urlacher and warner - probably, warner may need another couple of good years.

bruce - maybe... very consistent, never really looked at as a superstar... i say he gets in, but might take a few years.

hanson and egde - no

I believe kickers deserve it, but Hanson wasn't the best of his era. There is only one pure kicker in the HOF, Stenerud.

Pure kickers who were better off the top of my head:

Vinateri
Elam
Morten Anderson
Mosely (who won an MVP also)
Lowery

I subtract points from Hanson for kicking in a dome. He and Eddie Murray were very solid.

Interesting topic.

Tough part about it is that football doesn't have clear statistic requirements to get you in. Most fans don't know all time records for different positions, and the game changes constantly.

I personally think TO and Warner are in.

Warner was an MVP and has had some great seasons.

TO has been one of the best receivers in the game for years.

Edge has very good numbers, but never really accomplished anything great. I don't see him as a historic back. He seemed to just pile up yards with a great offense.

I feel the same way about Isaac Bruce.

Urlacher needs more to prove himself worthy.

Only TO and Urlacher will go.

Warner was not good over a substantial enough period of time.

Hanson is not getting in.

James career died when he went to Zona and he will be seen as just being a beneficiary of Manning.

For the reasons Bruce won't get in, read KC Joyner's book Blindsided. If Bruce does get in it will be on the 10th or 11th try or by the Veteran's Committee.

Yep no way Harrison should go ahead of TO...

Owens, second in NFL history in receiving yards and third in receiving touchdowns

I also don't believe Dungy should have made it.

He gets all the credit for building that Tampa Bay Bucs Defensive-Dynasty, yet it was GM Rich McKay making most of the calls.

Not to mention Dungy was as stubborn as his student Lovie Smith & wouldn't make proper changes when needed.

No coincidence Gruden came in & did enough to get Tampa the Championship after Dungy got the boot...

What was a shame was Ken Stabler.
Shame on the HOF voters that they couldn't vote him in while he was alive.

Kurt Warner is patiently waiting much like Cris Carter did.
