Yeah, I mean the actor's personal life is a train wreck, but that doesn't matter.

'Maverick' is what matters.

The movie's smashing success is pretty awesome in an larger cultural context.

From the article:

*************************************************************************************

The ageless star [Cruise] is in full control of his film destiny, and he clearly helped “Maverick” avoid most, if not all, of the culture war booby traps.

No hand wringing over military might or extended emasculation of its rugged hero, for starters. No lectures on America’s imperfect past or gender inequality.

And, suffice to say, “Top Gun: Maverick” isn’t woke in the slightest. It is, though, a testament to American excellence and the ability to achieve a goal no matter the odds.

In other words, it didn’t do what James Bond did—turn itself into a mewling little pajama boy gerbil of a movie. It didn’t do what Star Wars did and pervert a romantic-adventure series into a shrill Womyn’s Studies lecture. Instead, Top Gun chose to respect human nature and remain what it was, what worked, and what normal people love. The audience sensed that, and now it’s over-performing and less than $10 million away from setting an all-time Memorial Day Weekend record.

Arrrrhhh, darhhhrrr, Hollywoodtards.

Woke West Side Story: Flop
Woke Eternals: Flop
Woke In the Heights: Flop
Woke Wonder Woman 1984: Flop
Woke Charlie’s Angels: Flop
Woke Men In Black International: Flop
Woke Birds of Prey: Flop
Woke Ghostbusters 3: Flop
Woke The 355: Flop.
Woke Terminator Dark Fate: Flop
Woke Oscars: flop
Woke Netflix: Stock tanking
Woke Groomers at Disney: Stock tanking

Hell No! They're all shit. Wouldn't bother watching that sissy shit.
The girl who tries to pretend she is totally turned off by Maverick's "toxic masculinity" ends up fucking him.

Doesn't get any less 'sissy' than that.

Ha....I resisted Bird of Prey but an out of town friend came by and wanted to hang out
I bought dinner and he bought the movie tickets so I just went with it and expected the worse

It was alright
I guess having such low expectations helped....didnt watch any movie on that list otherwise except TerminatorDarkFate....it blew and now that Arnold has turned woke fuk him as well.

It’s so weird that conservatives are pointing to this movie as a victory for them. Do they know that Tom Cruise, trump and their other heros have never served a day in the military. I thought they hated Hollywood??? Lmao. The truth is Hollywood is full of incredibly talented people that generate billions a year in revenue and these conservatives who hate Hollywood are a bunch of losers complaining about masculinity when none of them have ever done anything masculine their entire lives. Fuxvking weirdos making this political. Everybody involved in the movie hates trump and is liberal anyway.

Top gun a great movie and looking forward to seeing this one.

We'll see what America thinks of the maggot libtards ruining this country come the mid-term elections. That is unless that maggots on the left can pull off more voter fraud like they did in 2020.

I'm not a big fan of Tom Cruise just because I have seen him on a set and how he treats the crew that work on his films.
What I can say is I was blown away at how good Maverick is. The flying and dog fight scenes are incredible.
It has a great story line and excellent acting by all the leads.
The films is a bit long for me but in my humble opinion it is far better than the original and is a very good movie.
Go see it you won't be disappointed.

Only an idiot like you would try to twist this around lol. You really aren't too bright. You can put in 20 hit woke movies for every 1 flop ''woke'' movie.

Clowns/minorities like you are so hellbent on denying the world that you live in now, that it's comical and pathetic at the same time lol. You people are such old, shriveled up snowflake clowns.
