New to the Forum-Some Lines for Week 3 to Discuss

new to the forum, blah blah blah. i'm over it.

anyways, seeing some interesting lines for week 3, wanted to know what you guys think.

steelers -4.5
bengals +4.5

packers -7
rams +7

saints -4
bills +4

im thinking most will be on pit, gb and NO for these games yeah? i think the pack are not that good. seems like they should be great, but they just arent putting it together. rams held their own against the skins, which is not saying a lot, but it deserves a "hmm." ill probably stay away from saints games, not tryin to mess with the saints

thoughts?

really not sure what to think about pitt game. ill prolly wiat till later in the week to see the line movement and sharp action.

i think the packers take this one by 17+ you dont usually see home dogs at 7 in case its a close game (thats why most med-size home dogs are +6 to 6.5) i could be reading to much into it but i think the line says packers could and should win by a good amount. then again i could be completly miss reading it (why i wait till later in the week to make plays) apart form the line, the rams just straight suck. the only scored once against a terrible washington team while the packers put up 24 against a very underated bangels team
my prediction: 10-28 (and im only giving the rams 10 because there at home)

im also not sure about the saints game, i need to look at this one a little more. one thing i can tell you is that the saints are going to but up atleast 30, but hoe many can buffalo put up. over might be the best bet, but i could see this one with a final score of 35-24 saint. either way i dont think itll be a blow out like some of the saints games

yeah gabbana i agree. i wonder if pierre thomas affects the way the saints play when he comes back 100%, or if he will even be much of a factor in their offense...??? will they run more? dont forget the saints have played 2 qb's that started their first nfl game. dont jump on the saints bandwagon just yet. honestly, whoever backed the eagles this week, dumb decision, with kolb in there, just not the same team. they ARE mcnabb. but yeah, saints -4, i dunno, i like bills at home to win straight up

i dunno man, i just cant back the lions, it's like backing jose canceco, or the nationals. you just DONT DO IT. however, like seanjohn said above, +6.5 at home means linesmakers think lions will cover...i think thats what hes saying. and +7 and above at home leans the road team to cover

ya you got it MM, right now i would take packers and lions, i like what the lines say and only time can tell where they move, which will tell us even more. in my opinion joe public is falling into a trap with the det game. people buy in to much the fact that det hasnt won in forever and there BOX scores havent looked to good. but that couldnt be any further from the truth. miinny had to fight for the win and if they didnt detroits D didnt get tired late in the game they might have pulled it out. i dont see them getting tired against a weak skins team. you just said it yourself that you feel like you cant back the lions, and i bet your not the only person saying that. but i bet alot of people would be suprised to see how talented this team really is, they just need to get on the same page, which should be happening very soon.

what you said about the saints is very true (about they playing rookie qbs in both games) stuff like this is exactly why i am hesitant to back the saints (well see how i feel later in the week). i do like the over even more though, with a verteran qb going against the saints. if back up rookies can put up points against the saints, a talented veteran should deff hold his own.

? seahawks +1.5 i think is a fake trap game. everyone will probably be on the bears, but i think the public will win with that bet

if hasselbeck is out, there is absolutly no reason not to kill the bears. bears do look good though, regardless whos got the ball for the seahawks.

GB bounces back after last week. Put up some points and win this game by atleast 13.

Bills +4
I agree, everyone will be on the Saints this week. Bills should be 2-0 right now. Bills defense will play much better than Eagles did last week IMO. But agree with others that best play here should be the OVER!

Detroit +6.5
I love this game! I think they get the outright win!! The fact that this line came out exactly at -6.5 makes you gotta wonder. Vegas is trying giving you the Skins hook for a reason. The skins could've lost last week and now go on the road to Detroit who gave Minny a decent test last week. Love Detroit +7(Buy 1/2) and ML !!
