Bowl season starts tomorrow with the Bahamas Bowl and Frisco Bowl. Saturday
brings six more bowl games with the final one being the New Orleans Bowl. That's
the one I'm interested in for wagering purposes.

App State is a 16.5 favorite over UAB with the total set at 47.5. I believe both
numbers are worth taking a chance on for this game. App State is one of the top
scoring teams in the country averaging 39.4 points per game. During the season
they beat North Carolina and South Carolina on the road on the way to a 12-1
season. The Mountain boys will be going for their fifth straight bowl win since joining
the FBS.

UAB far exceeded expectations this season after losing 30 seniors from last year's
11-3 team. The Blazer defense has been good but the offense has struggled all season
averaging just 20 points per game. I love coach Bill Clark and UAB but not enough to
put my $3 dollars on them. App State 38-14.

App State -16.5
Over 47.5

My take and welcome yours...……………...…………..

Overall, I agree, UAB should not be able to deal with App State at all. And in the nice warm dome App State should be able to score, IMO, even more than 38.

BUT, HC Drinkiwitz left, who is HC for the game for App State... and are the OC and DC staying for the game? If someone new is calling the game for either O or D, it can be of concern.

Good question Mr. S and something I did consider. Shawn Clark who was assistant head coach was named the head coach to
replace Drinkiwitz. He has announced that all current coaches will stay to coach the bowl game so I don't foresee a problem
with coaching for the game.

Thanks my friend. Hey Indy...that Gator Bowl with Tennessee vs. Indiana should be one heck
of a game. Really good matchup for the Gator Bowl committee and football fans in general.

Excellent!
They should be fine, sorry I was too lazy to look it up but keeping them all intact with current coaching is a plus, kids will be focused!

I have also been thinking about any reasons to take UAB, but it's hard to come up with any. Yet, the line has dropped from the open of 17.5, so some bettors must have their reasons. I'll likely have a play on App. State too in my thread. Good luck.
