Really like New Jersey in this spot at just about even money. New Jersey will be able to take over first place in the division with a win tonight. Brendan Shanahan will also make his debut tonight on a line with Bobby Holik at center and Mike Rupp on the right side. New Jersey special teams have been almost flawless their last 5 games with the power play going 6 for 12 (50%) and PK a perfect 16 for 16. Nashville's power play has been struggling a bit in the last 5 going 3 for 16 (16.7%). Nashville's Dan Ellis gets the start tonight who has been struggling as of late going 1-4 in his last 5 with a save% of .837. New Jersey is also 5-1 in it's last 6 trips to Nashville. Also 2 more quick stats

Devils are 4-1 in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Predators are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning record.

The Devils also flew into Nashville on Saturday night and had Sunday off, with a morning skate today so they should be rested for this last game of their 6 game road trip.

Go Devils! :toast:

Welcome back Shanny. Guy hasnt played all year, one game and one goal for him.

Unreal. This team just got that much more dangerous, and to think that Marty isnt even playing.

IMO, without Marty in net, the Devils won't go far in the playoffs. Hope they do, but don't think they will.

I hate the devils with a passion being a flyers fan, but it is just scary that this team is even still in the race without Marty.

I am scared to see what happens once he does come back.

All i know is that this kid clemmensen has played himself into a nice contract.

You're right. Looks like Kevin Weekes will be moving once again when Marty B. returns. I hope Weekes hasn't bought any real estate as he has bounced around so many times.

Clemmensen is actually not that young. He will be 32 years old in June. Was drafted by NJD in 1997.
