Roger Goodell is a frecken joke and proved his incompetence again by handing down this ridiculous penalty on New England. Brady misses four games, New England loses their first-round draft choice next year and the team fined $1 million dollars. For what...letting the air out of a few footballs....whoooo, that's really big stuff.

Brady should have beaten the hell out of his wife and New England would have suffered much less.

Then lying about the balls didn't help. Its probably just like the 3 strike rule in society. If you have 2 strikes already and get caught stealing a chocolate bar, that's automatically 25 years or whatever the length is.

Miami is the team to Beat this year in the AFC Easy anyways. This doesn't matter one bit. The Pats will probably go 1-3 while Brady is on holidays and then go 5-7 after he comes back. Maybe 6-6. They will finish last place in their division.

The patriots finishing last.....I'm not sure what to say to that.

Men, I'm not a big NE fan and have never been a big Tom Brady fan other than he a damn good quarterback.

My problem is the punishment for letting the air out of a few footballs. Goddamn ridiculous!

The next time a kicker bruises up a ball before a kickoff to make it softer....suspend the cheater for four games.

Maybe the NFL should ban sweatbands....can't catch the ball with sweatie hands....four games to the cheater.

Because they have yet to prove he told the ball boys to put a certain psi reading into the footballs. He did what every QB does and told them how he likes the football, scuffed, a little under inflated, whatever. But they have no evidence he gave them a specific psi to inflate the balls to. They didn't cheat. This is another mirage by the NFL to generate more viewers. That Colts Pats game is going to be bigger than the Super Bowl as far as viewing is concerned.

I understand, but it's really difficult for me to believe he was not involved.

If it was a court of law, and up to a jury to believe there was a reasonable doubt, I could see them finding him not guilty. But using common sense and observing all the actions and things said by the people involved, I think it is fair to say Tom was involved.

Makes up for the lousy penalty they got after spy gate. Belichek should of been suspended for the entire year but the patriots just blamed josh mccdaniels and everything was a okay. Now he is back and you think they didn't try to get an advantage anyway they knew how?

The patriots/ ravens game was also at home. Meaning most likely the same situation....I don't know if brady threw a pic that game so the defense would of never known.

But the NOW illegial formation the Pats ran on the touchdown trick play would never work if the patriots didn't disguise that play. Within the rules yes but not fair, which is why it is already forbidden.
