Thanks to the chaos of last Saturday, the door has cracked open a bit for the Big 12 to sneak a team into the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma moved up from 11th to 9th in tonight's new rankings, Oklahoma State goes from 13th to 11th and West Virginia moves from 16th to 14th. All three still have a shot at winning the conference.

The ACC has improved significantly over the years, but the bottom half of the rankings were unkind to the conference. North Carolina and Virginia Tech fell out of the rankings after losses to unranked teams. Both the Tar Heels and Hokies could slide back in if they finish 9-3. Florida State only moved up a spot to No. 17 and was jumped by USC and LSU.

Four Big Ten teams remain in the top 10 of the new College Football Playoff rankings this week. All four are within top 4 striking distance with a conference title victory at this point. Toughest road is probably for Wisconsin, who lost to both Michigan and Ohio State.

Texas A&M and Auburn were both top-10 teams last week and both lost to unranked teams. Auburn fell from 9th to 15th after a 13-7 loss at Georgia (6-4). Texas A&M fell from 8th to -- wait for it -- 25th after losing to Ole Miss 5-5. OK back-to-back losses for the Aggies but that kind of fall feels overboard. Same for LSU falling from 13th to 24th after losing to No. 1 Alabama 10-0. I mean I guess the committee is consistent

It would really help No. 6 Washington to face No. 10 Colorado in the Pac-12 championship game. Huskies need to see the highest-ranked opponent possible if they can win the Pac-12 North.

Clemson drops to No. 4 after a loss, falling behind No. 3 Michigan, which also lost on a late field goal. Michigan has two top-10 wins, but the Tigers won on the road at Auburn and Florida State on top of beating No. 5 Louisville. There's an argument the Tigers have a better résumé. If both Clemson and Michigan win out, however, there's a good chance they would meet in the semifinal.

All those comments are copied and pasted from ESPN.

But i will say this.....When you lose you don`t get penalized.....Louisville should have moved into the top 4....No shake up at all.

I personally would have taken Washington out of the top 10

This is just my observation and what I think the committee MAY be looking at/seeing. The only way the Big 12 gets in is WVU, if they lose to OU they're out, Okie St loss to Central Michigan killed their chances. Going to be hard to put a 2 loss Oklahoma in without a Championship game, especially since Houston has shit the bed. Honestly, any 2 loss team, even with a Championship will be hard to explain. Only chance MIGHT be Wisky, just because their 2 losses will be against 2 Top 10 teams. The only chance I see ACC getting 2 in is if OSU beats Bichigan and PSU wins B1G Championship. Only bc PSU loss to Pitt. Louisville SOS is hurting them bc of loss to Clemson. One thing that hurts Bichigan is loss on road and all big wins at home unless they win at OSU. Washington has to beat Wash st to even be considered for PAC 12 Championship. Rivalry weekend could be one of the best this year!

Unfortunately, it looks like OSU or Mich isn't gonna make it into the playoffs most likely

Looks like UL or Wash is gonna be the 4 seed unless some more crazy shit happens

Ohio State wins out and they are in...even without championship.

If Ohio St beats Michigan, then that will put the winner of the Big 10 championship(Penn/St vs Wisconsin) in the top 4. Louisville is screwed unless Clemson or Ohio St lose again.

Not true. That winner will have 2 losses even though PSU beat OSU straight up. Louisville may be the biggest winner if Bichigan goes down. That will depend what happens in PAC 12 tho too.
