so many things wrong with this.

start by acknowledging that the dems are one of two parties at fault here. they deserve a heaping amount of blame.

but the republicans are like a guy that watches a small grease fire burn down an entire restaurant for the purpose of an "i told you so." what did they do?

also how much money did mccain get from fanny and or freddy?

fact of the matter is anyone who claims one party is more responsible for this than another is clearly just being partisan.

throwing in who controls congress now is really what makes who ever put this together look like a fool. are you saying that since they have control of the congress NOW they should do something about it?

well who had control of congress for 6 years? what did the republicans do? they put a bill together in 2005 i can tell you all about... but they never even called it up for a vote.
