Nevada vs Arizona State on 03/15 by Jay_Robinson

Wednesday’s First Four nightcap is the at-large game between No. 11 Nevada (22-9 SU, 18-10-2 ATS) and No. 11 Arizona State (20-11 SU, 14-16-1 ATS), and while the stats suggest the Wolf Pack are the better team on paper, the projections I’m looking at have the Sun Devils winning 69-66 or thereabouts.

That Arizona State defense is the key here. They’re especially good inside, ranking sixth in the nation in 2-point percentage allowed at just 43.8%.

Nevada tends to shoot better and relatively more often from outside, but they also rank No. 10 in made free throws at 17.2 per game; those attempts might be harder to come by this Wednesday.
