Ive asked 2 Republicans (DaveinVegas & Romanowski) a simple question yet neither can give me an answer..

Im researching the GOP and really want to know more about the Party and where it stands on these issues and how they relate to todays current economic climate.

So what Im looking for here is just a Simple A or B answer from a Republican..

Can you just answer my SIMPLE Question:

Which Party is MORE Pro-Bank, Deregulation, Free Reign for Big Business?

A. Democrat or B. Republican

Just A or B thats it.

Thanks for answering and being Honest Willie...

Im just trying to remind people what the answer to the question is. Sometimes the truth gets distorted when people cant admit fault or admit when the Govt lets too much of a good thing happen for these out of control businesses. That is all.

Sweet Lou, if you didn't already know the answer to that, I feel sorry for you and your lack of working knowledge of politics. If Dems would have been in charge of the Treasury department, it would have been even worse.

First, I’m not a Republican, I’m a Conservative. Second you want to phrase your question as a Republican vs. Democrat which makes it bogus. Then you bash Bush because he’s Republican and he’s responsible when it couldn’t be further from the truth. Pay attention and read.

As Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Frank "sits at the center of power".[25] Thomas Mann, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, was quoted as saying, "He is one of the giants of Congress, a real legislator," in his new role.[25]
In 2003, Frank rejected Bush administration and Congressional Republican efforts for the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis. [26] Under the plan a new agency would have been created within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored companies that are the two largest players in the mortgage lending industry.[27] "These two entities, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not facing any kind of financial crisis," Frank said. He added, "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."[28]

At one time, the answer would have been simple - the republicans.

not any more - the Republican party has become a parody of the Democrats with all of their earmarked pork barrel spending and their loyalty to lobbyists and not to their constituents.

Here's a question for you - what's the difference between the Democrat party today and the Democrat party that gave us the Great Society?

The reason I didn't answer the question is because it was in the context of whose to blame for the current credit crisis we find ourselves in:

which is non partisan at best to blame both sides equally

and could be blamed more on democratic pressure on banks to allow for lower income families to have homes

your simplistic view and question is stupid

why is it republicans with brains can take half the blame and you cannot?

But I thought one of the Key Republican Arguements was that the Dems were for Too Much Regulation and Oversight on Big Business and stalling Business from expanding??? So how can you say it would have been worse? Again you cant take responsibility for the fact that all this Crap has occured over the past 8 years under A REPUBLICANS WATCH - CONGRESS, SENATE AND HOUSE...

I would put the Blame moreso on the American People because they are the ones that elect these Idiots year after year.. You Reap what you Sow.

Im just trying to keep explain my "simplistic view" to all of the Simple Republicans...
