Wait, a player from Nebraska punched a guy and not a girl? Wow, that's a first.

At minimum that guy should have his scholarship revoked. Better yet, he should be put up on felony assault charges. The guy wasn't even looking.

Shortly after he apologized for punching a Missouri fan following Nebraska's loss to the Tigers, the Cornhuskers' Kellen Huston was suspended for this week's game against Texas A&M.

REAL Fvcking class act here Solich...piece of s$it needs to go to trial for this...totally classless program at Nebraska!

Whatever the school does with suspensions, I don't know, but outside the school system, I believe it should be up to the person assaulted to press charges or not, and no one else.

I just saw the video. That was completely out of line by the Nebraska player. He really hit that kid hard. He's already been suspended for the Texas A+M game but something tells me there will be some type of charges filed and further action taken by the school.

But this is also another example of why fans don't belong on the field at any time.

Before you talk about class try looking at your most recent post and then we'll talk about class.

The video only shows the point from where the player hits the fan. It doesn't show what happened before that. I would only hope that those of you who have already judged this guy would be judged for only having half the picture revealed in something that happened in your life. Perhaps we can post your parents' names and address all over the Internet before the full story is published.

Here is more of the story, that is, if you're not just interested in one side-

"Kellen is very sorry that this unfortunate situation happened, and so are we," Nebraska coach Frank Solich said. "After viewing the film and speaking to people who were at the scene, I truly believe that Kellen did not instigate the situation and that he was simply reacting to what he saw as a dangerous situation coming right at him.

BigGamesOnly is right.

We should see the entire video or know more of the situation, for instance, what happened before the husker player threw the punch. You never know, maybe the mizzou fan might have threw the first punch.

Very dangerous situation. Kid could have been killed, literally. Tough to fault the kid who's out cold. However, there are a lot of little punks out there that talk and do bunch of stupid sh*t, and after they get their ass jacked up they want to press charges. Been there done that. Kid probably had it coming if not from the Neb. someone else.

Big Games..I have edited my post, BUT, this kid IS A PUBLIC FIGURE, like it or not and should know better than to hit the fan. The part that gets me is how he just runs off the field after looking back to see the guy on his as$. The fan could have been a punk, BUT if he did NOT (and it heavily appears that way from the tape) throw the first punch and just used verbal threats, then the Nebraska player doesn't have a shot in hell of winning the case...pure and simple aggrevated assault, misdeamenor, will pay small fine and do community service for it..

We agree on that. If the Nebraska player was unprovoked then it should be a crime.
