Nebraska @ Ohio St Line

Line opened @ -12 & has now already moved to 17 @ most shops with Heritage
hanging 17.5. Did Neb have some key inj's in the Wisconsin game? This line
makes no sense to me. Why does Vegas think Ohio St is going to blow out
Nebraska?

I have the same thoughts and will be keeping an eye on this line. No known key injuries that I'm aware of for Huskers.

#1 RG went down early vs Wisc and wont play this week, much of the same on that mash unit Oline last 5 weeks. Also, #1 OLB is questionable (top pass coverage backer). #1 WR played vs Wisc, but is probably 85%. Might get back the #1 TE from a hyperextended elbow. I doubt he would be full throttle, but he's a punishing blocker and a difficult matchup that plays into the Run-Pass Option game.

Neb's OL is in shambles with at least 3, maybe 4 walk-ons in the starting 5 + first sub. OSU's secondary can negate Neb's WR's ability to get separation.

If Carter can somehow come back and play this week, would be a gigantic bonus to Nebraska's chances to stay within 14. Highly doubtful though as he couldn't complete blocking drills last Thur and was told it was a longshot at best he'd be ready before Minnesota game.

It's difficult for a team to bounce back from a loss like Huskers endured. Also, they played in Madison Saturday and now back on the road to Columbus. I won money on Huskers against Badgers, but I don't think I want any part of them this week.

glad to see this thread started, was wanting to start my own, but will use this. I have a lot of the same feelings as far as outcome as I did against wisc. tOSU def is not as good as Wisc, and can we, until proven diff, that tOSU night game advantage is not what it used to be. they did give up over 400yds to NW at home and until that last drive, was outgained by NW. A lot of talent, albeit young talent on OSU side, and obv have the making for big plays, exciting plays, etc, etc...one thing about NEB that has been consistent is their def. They are not world beaters by any stretch but osu cant throw the ball down the field. Westerkamp should be fine, Carter is back, it OBV comes down to TA, like against Wisc not playing that way. For NEB, turnovers, especially gifts from TA can not happen, and the patchwork OLine needs to play decent, for neb to have a chance. I guess to sum this up, although I am still a little butthurt about the game Saturday, I think with all the goals still in front of them, winning the west and making it to Indy, then who knows, although difficult, I like neb to keep it close/ugly, and have a chance at the end. tOSU being able to rotate in fresh talented backs along with barrett as an athletic/fast/talent QB, could be interesting for sure. Neb cant take off 1+ qtrs like they have a tendency to do in order to win this game. I hope it stays around 17, therefore I can have my GOY 2.0!!

I think Ohio State has been over rated and have under achieved all year been waiting all year for their
break out game & it's not really happened. Yea they beat Okl by 21 on the road but Okl def is pathetic.
I may end up playing Neb here...........

Vegas the Trickster. What if your first instinct was lay the points? Now the vegas-factor pushes you to the dog. OSU may roll but I dont get the logic of the flipflop.

I think if this line is still at 17, its at a good place. Nebraska is just ok in quarters 1-3. OSU offense isnt that impressive but I could still see them starting the 4th up 10-14 pts. From there does Nebraska continue its 4th quarter dominance or can OSU put foot to throat? Nebraska, imo, will need a special teams or defensive td to have this game at 1 score heading into the last 15 min.

After losing to Penn St and playing Northwestern close and the first ranking having them behind the one loss A&M, you better believe that if Meyer can post a big score he will. It's Ohio State play or nothing!

I'm with Will.I.Am on this one - albeit I am a husker fan as well. In years past I would be on OSU big time as we got killed in big games but this team really believes in one another. They went through the death of their punter and all the close losses last year. Armstrong is a gamer and this team doesn't quit. Cethan Carter is a huge part of the offense and he is back. Not saying NU will win but don't be surprised that it's close at the end. It will really boil down to Armstrong not turning it over and some big plays on punt returns by a healthy Pierson-El. BOL to everyone let's win some $$$

Obv too early, but what happens if, BIG IF, Nebraska beats OSU? They have to jump Wisc and aub right in the CFP rankings? that would move them to 7th given everyone else wins. just going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
