The UM-UND series traditionaly goes to the underdog, though last year at AA UM smoked UND as a 10 pt. fav. I would expect UM to be favored next week even in SB. This used to be a series where two great teams would get together and this is why the dog always covered, 4 or 6 points would be huge, but often the dog would win outright.
That said, UND no longer sits at the table with the big boys, while UM is right there front and center. Irish luck only goes so far and they have had none of it lately. UM is so much more talented right now I don't feel anybody in their right mind should take UND against them. There will be enough action coming in from UND traditionalists and loyalists to keep the books balanced, but the smart money goes on UM here.
Lloyd Carr has been there done that. UM always plays tough foes well, UND does not even qualify as a tough foe any more. T. Will is a poor coach at best, so this is another huge edge for UM.
Godspeed, thepig.
